ABOUTMEI love all aspects of typography even if it’s a constant fight to satisfy my perfectionist self. I especially love minimalist designs and deconstructivism. In addition to my interests in art, I love baking, all things coffee, and going to cafes in my free time.

01PRODUCT DESIGNThe prompt was to alter a 2x3x5 box using an architectural style of one’s choosing. I chose deconstruc-tivism. This led to the “randomly” scattered lines on the front side of the box, as well as, the curved sides. I chose blue to be the color of my model because it matched well with the curves and the light color allows the intricate designs to be shown clearly.

02TYPOGRAPHYFor this assignment, I designed my name using the myths of doppelgangers in mind. Doppelgangers are seen as a bad omen in German mythology and as they are supposed to be twins I differentiated my first and last name as both parts of one’s name can be used to represent the same person, but they aren’t exactly the same. Also, I chose the typeface because it was a clean serif font and I wanted an old-style typeface to represent how far back the myths of doppelgangers go in history.

02TYPOGRAPHYI rebranded Pandora under my assigned theme word of “Luck.” I took Pandora’s signature ideas of bonds between friendship and lovers and family when designing the word, which is why I have a closed loop between the letters of “u” and “c”. I also kept the design simple using just black for my color palette and serif fonts to keep the luxury, high-class look of a jewelry brand.

In my first design, I wanted to emphasize the word “choose” in the quote because it’s the word that calls for action in the quote. In my second and final design, I only chose the latter half and I have a more visual contrast between the parts of the quote that I wanted to make more visual. I chose the dy-namic black and red classic duo and cursive because it reminds me of signatures and signing something off, which is representative of acting on something and pursuing it.

03EDITORIAL DESIGNA compilation of spreads that I designed for a mockup magazine as a school assignment. The require-ment was to talk about five goals you would want to achieve in the next five years and rather than naming it Goals, “Note to Self ” seemed more fitting. The following spread is a continuation of the first one where it goes into depth of one of the five goals.

03EDITORIAL DESIGNA trifold brochure for the Arms & Armor exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The name design is a play on the phrase “Meet Me at the MET.” The design was made to be a powerful visual design as it represents an exhibit that displays armor. Also the front cover is supposed to be a psycho-logical illusion that invites readers to open up the brochure.
