Avalanche threat looms large in HimachalSHIMLA, Mar 7:
Avalanche threat loomed large over high altitude tribal areasand higher hills of Chamba following heavy snowfall during thepast two weeks while severe cold wave conditions persisted in midand higher hills.
The Himachal State Disaster Management Authority (HPSD-MA) has issued warning against avalanche threat on March 8 andasked people living in high altitude tribal areas and higher hills ofChamba not to venture out.
The Authority has directed the district administration to take allpreventive and precautionary measures keeping in view the ava-lanches threat.(PTI)
