Constraints

• Timely release of fund is our concern• Bandh, strike, hike in fuel price are directly or

activities• Low-cost irrigational structures in the valley• Most of the paddy fields are rain fed & traditional

DBI• Slow acceptance of SRI by hill farmers

Impact

o 3715 ben. = 3405 acres directly benefited in term of food enhancement at household level

o Increasing productivity and involving more farmers in SRI & modernization of rice cultivation

o Creating more aware on appropriate eco-friendly agriculture among the farmers especially hill farmers.

o partners are more realistic and scientific in terms of data presentationo Creation of SPs in village levels to sustain the extension of SRI in villages and for

other farmerso Enhance agriculture extension work with state Government, NABARD,
