There was additional discussion of a possible private Facebook page or other s o c i a l m e d i a f o r t h e c l u b membership but nothing was proposed.

The initial term is for five years with the County providing subsidies during that time to get the TMA up and running. Details are still unk no wn a bo ut t he cur r ent Museum staff as well as volunteers although apparently volunteers are still wanted. Wait and see.

EPILOGUE
The Club's Ntrak display at the Great Train Show in Collinsville, Illinois went well, once the Electrical Gremlins decided to go infest somebody else's layout! It surely seemed that, for a significant part of Saturday, Your Editor spent more time under the layout chasing down shorts and opens than running trains (or even eating)!
The Club's Christmas Party also went well, right from the start. Ninteen members and guests boarded in St. Louis, Missouri, and were joined by the rest of the throngs of Christmas revellers at the first stop at Alton, Illinois. The feast was held at the same restaurant, Maldaners in Springfield, Illinois, upon which the club has descended for the previous two years.
Speaking of Christmas, please keep an eye out for railroad-related subjects which fellow club members would enjoy seeing on these pages. Last year's images included models under Christmas decorations, residential front-yard light-string "sculptures", and some full sized rolling stock.
George Rees wants everybody to know that several members have dined together on Tuesday-go-to-meeting night at the Lion's Choice restaurant on Olive Boulevard, just east of I-270, arriving there around 5:30pm.
Collinsville, Illinois, November 2016Great Train Expo
Amtrak's first "new" motive power, the SDP40F, pulls it's short string of "Am-Cans" through a canyon
somewhere in the Southwest.Southwest Collinsville, Illinois, that is,
inside an exhibition hall, on an N-trak layout, in their Convention Center!
Your Editor rode behind this N scale model's big sister several times during the years that she plied the rails
between Chicago and Saint Louis.

John Heubner "surveys the landscape" of the Club's N-trak layout at Collinsville's Gateway Convention Center
on the weekend following the Thanksgiving holiday. John was featured in an article covering the Great Train Show
which appeared in the local newspaper, the Collinsville Evening Bugle Clarion Banner Star Picayune Times
Herald Bulletin Dispatch Post Gazette.
Kevin had waited in ambush at the Kirkwood, Missouri railroad station for Union Pacific's famed touring steam locomotive 844.
On the platform he encountered Mary Beth Conlon and her daughter Katie Beth.
Mary Beth was also interested in seeing the ancient relic on rails, but Katie Beth was far more interested in having Mom
buy a frosty treat for her at the nearby Custard Station. Here she appears to be contemplating the use of Mom's necklace
as a makeshift horse-collar with the thought of steering her away from that noisy mechanical monster behind them.

The UP stack train was northbound at the Alton station while the BERRC members awaited their Amtrak train to Springfield, Illinois,
for the annual Christmas party. The members who had previously boarded at Saint Louis Union Station
were only able to view the UP train when it was parked at a siding.
