Nicky:My name's Nicky Pither, I'm the physio here at RNIB Pears Centre - have been for the past 11 years now. I've also been one of the lead people in getting the pool up and running.

Natasha:I bring my friend's little boy, he's two. He loves the pool because it's warm, it's a structured session. And it's a good learning – because it's all sensory as well, with singing...

Nicky:It's a dream that's hit reality, now that we've got it. Basically we were taking our young people that are in wheelchairs to a local school, using their pool, but we can only use it twice a week.

Nicky:Oh we nearly got mummy's watch! Oh my word!

Sandra:It's ok, it's only a watch, isn't it Lucas?

Sandra:My name is Sandra Coelho, I'm Lucas Coelho's mum. In the swimming pool we can just be doing anything he wants.

Sandra:Hello Lucas, yipeeee! Lucas is so relaxed, look at him! Look, his little legs!

Sandra:His legs are moving, now his hands, he feels calm, you know, and relaxed. And you can see he's very happy.

Nicky:There's the pressure of the water on him and also just the movement -freedom of movement in the water. It means he's able to use his arms and legs freely and he just loves being in the pool.

Eshan, he has very tight muscles and normally is in a very tight position and struggles with any form of movement, whereas in the water he can relax and his movement is good.

Max has very, very limited movement, he also has chest issues, so hence why he's on a ventilator all the time. So he gets just to experience movement in a way that he doesn't anywhere else.

Member of staff:Ready... go!

Nicky:Words can't really express our appreciation of having the pool there. I cannot put into words how much this pool means to our young people.Not only do they have the fun of being in the water, but the impact it has on the rest of their lives is huge.

Sandra:The swimming pool, I think it was the only thing this school needed for thekids here to be even more happy than they were before, you know?

Nicky:I can't say thank you enough to everybody who's donated.

Sandra:I love you, Lucas. I love you!
