The term road traffic safety is an indication of how safe individual users are on some particular road, or on the roads belonging to some region.

The main danger to road users is the likelihood of a traffic collision.

What is Road Safety?

Children and young people are at significant risk on our roads.

We all need to learn to use the road responsibly.

Road safety education plays an important role in shaping the attitudes and behaviours of children and young people.

New electronic tools should be developed for collision prevention and should be fitted on all vehicle.

Helmet should always be used, OR place a lower speed limit for those who do not use helmet.

Helmets should also be used for backseat passengers

Strict enforcement of existing traffic rules.

Children below a certain age should not be permitted to do cycling in busy roads.

Video and Computer Games that simulate Racing should be banned by the Government OR discouraged by parents as it will develop racing habit in children.

The main cause of death among children 0 to 14-year-olds is fatal injuries, of

which 63% are traffic related.

In conclusion I would like to say that Road safety is not a topic to be taken lightly.

The important thing is to stay alert at all times while using the roads.

We must know what is happening around us. In that way, we can take necessary action to avoid danger.
