Roald DahlHis Life

Roald Dahl was born on 13th September 1916 in South Wales.

When he was at school he enjoyed games. His favourite game was conkers.

He died in Oxford in 1990, aged 74 years.

Roald Dahl liked dogs. His dogs were called Eva, Jelly and Chopper.

His children were called Oliver, Tess, Teo and Lucy. This is a picture of them on a family holiday together. Roald Dahl married a second time when he was older.

Roald Dahl was in the Royal Air Force. He was a Hurrican Fighter Pilot.

The plaque below is in Cardiff in Wales. Part of the city was renamed after Roald Dahl in 2002 to celebrate that he was born in Wales

During World War II when he was fighting for the British his plane crashed into No Man’s Land.
