DEON’TE GOODMAN (Mitch Mahoney) has spent the past year working professionally both in California and New York City and is excited to begin his work with Florida Repertory Theatre. His most recent accomplishments include his work with

Stephen Schwartz in a workshop of The Prince of Egypt and the success of his one-man show, PSA, which he performed in California. Other credits include: The Dryer/Bus (Caroline, or Change), George (Stop Kiss), Tom Collins (RENT), Black Dude (The Toxic Avenger), Featured Soloist (The Lost Colony), and Hans (Cabaret). He has also landed principle roles in many operas, including Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Philip Glass’ Galileo Galilei, and Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors. Deon’te holds a BM in Classical Voice from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

CASSANDRA HLONG (Marcy Park) is incredibly humbled to join the Florida Rep family with her Florida Rep debut! A North Carolina native, she holds a B.A. in Dance, from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Credits include:

LAURA HODOS* (Rona Lisa Peretti) is thrilled to be appearing at Florida Repertory Theatre! She’s the 2016 Silver Palm award-winner for her work in The Toxic Avenger (Actors’ Playhouse), Romance/Romance (Slow Burn

Theatre Company), The Will Rogers Follies (Maltz Jupiter Theatre), A Minister’s Wife (GableStage), and 1776 (Palm Beach Dramaworks). Laura is also the winner of the Miami New Times Critic’s Choice for Best Supporting Actress of 2016, a BroadwayWorld Best Actress in a Musical award for her protrayal of John Adams in Mad Cow Theatre’s all-female 1776, and a six-time Carbonell Award nominee. Laura has written and performed nine solo cabarets, the latest of which, JULIE AND MARY AND ETHEL AND BABS, performed to sold out houses in Maine, North Carolina, and Florida. She’s been a soloist with the Orlando Philharmonic, the Jacksonville Symphony, the Sarasota Orchestra, and the Klezmer Company Jazz Orchestra, and she is delighted to have shared the stage with Tituss Burgess, Laura Osnes, Jeremy Jordan, Faith Prince, Davis Gaines, Maureen McGovern, Shelley Burch, Andrea McArdle, Jason Robert Brown, and Donna Murphy, and has performed at Radio City Music Hall and Lincoln Center. BRENDAN POWERS*† (Vice Principal Douglas Panch) Select Florida Rep credits over the past eight seasons include The House of Blue Leaves, The Mousetrap, The Cocktail Hour, A Christmas Story, The Unexpected Guest, Dividing the Estate, Around

the World in 80 Days, The Fantasticks, Doubt, Opus, Boeing-Boeing, and The Glass Menagerie. He is married to fellow Florida Rep ensemble member Rachel Burttram and also serves as a Development Associate. Other credits include the Tony Award-winning play, Art, and The Big Knife, both with Alec Baldwin, the Noel Coward revue, Oh, Coward! at Off-Broadway’s Irish Repertory Theatre, God of Carnage, August: Osage County, Our Town, Arsenic and Old Lace, and numerous others. TV work includes FBI Agent Rick Cranston on Graceland (USA Network) and David Weller in the Netflix original series, Bloodline, starring Sissy Spacek. He can also be seen driving the big blue Cadillac in a series of national commercials for Alabama Road Trips. His cartoon captions have been winners for various contests including The New Yorker, Hartford Courant, Denver Post, Moment Magazine, Clinical Psychology, Inside Higher Ed, and the Greensboro News-Record.

T.J. WAGNER* (Leaf Coneybear) is feeling super-sonic about making his Florida Repertory Theatre debut in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. T.J. was recently seen Off-Broadway in Measure for

Measure (Bryant Park), A Midsummer Nights Dream (Access Theatre), On Your Mark (47th Street Theatre), and Far From Canterbury (Soho Playhouse). Regional Credits include Little Shop of Horrors, Red, Ragtime (Hangar Theatre), Othello (Ithaca Shakespeare), and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Hope Summer Repertory). JASON PARRISH† (Director) is now in his 12th season with Florida Rep as an Ensemble Member and the company’s Associate Director. His over thirty appearances with the company include The House of Blue Leaves, Over the River and Through the Woods, The Dingdong, Twelve Angry Men, Around the World in 80 Days, The Hound of the Baskervilles, Clybourne Park, 2014’s nationally-acclaimed production of Arsenic and Old Lace, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and six years in The Santaland Diaries. His directing credits with Florida Rep include A Christmas Story, The Fantasticks, Tru, [title of show], and The Shape of Things, as well as Miss Nelson is Missing, Journey to Oz, Schoolhouse Rock Live, How I Became a Pirate, The New Kid, and The Mischief Makers for Florida Rep’s Theatre for Young Audiences Series. His work with other theatres as an actor and director includes Actors’ Playhouse (Miami), Riverside Theatre (Vero Beach), Theatre by the Sea & Ocean State Theatre Company (Rhode Island), and the New York Philharmonic’s Young People’s Concert Series at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall.

RACHAEL BECHTEL (Asst. Stage Manager) is a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she received her BFA in Technical Theatre. Rachael is thrilled to have moved to Fort Myers to be a part of Florida Repertory’s 19th season as a stage management intern! Recent productions as an assistant stage manager include Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End, Best of Enemies, The House of Blue Leaves, and To Kill a Mockingbird. She would like to thank her family and friends for their endless support.

HUNTER BROWN (Percussion) is a local musician, performer and educator. He has worked at many theaters in Florida including Florida Studio Theatre, American Stage, Manatee Performing Arts Center and now Florida Rep! Recently he was the musical director for Florida Rep’s Education production of Big River and played drums for Florida Studio Theatre’s production of Million Dollar Quartet. He is also known in the Sarasota/Tampa area as a musical Improv/children’s Improv educator. He is so excited to be playing percussion for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

RHIAN FRANCHEBOIS (Asst. Sound Designer) is a first-time intern at Florida Repertory Theatre. She recently graduated from Flagler College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts. This is her first job after college, and she hopes she pleases your ears.

KIM GRIFFIN (Asst. Costume Designer) graduated from Baylor University with a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology with an emphasis in Costume Design and a Music Minor. She began her career designing costumes for the Baylor Opera Theatre as the resident costume designer for four years. She has worked as a designer and assistant designer for Baylor Theatre, Waco Civic Theatre, Performing Arts Supply Company, Theatre Under The Stars, Houston Family Arts Center, and Ohio Light Opera. She was on tour with Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey as the Head Seamstress and traveled the country by train. She is currently the Assistant Costume Supervisor and Resident Assistant Costume Designer here at Florida Rep where she has designed Romeo & Juliet, Miss Nelson Is Missing, and the upcoming production of Big River.

JOHN KISELICA (Sound Designer) is a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in lighting and sound design. He is the Resident Sound and Lighting Designer for Endstation Theatre Company in Central VA and acts as the Lighting and Sound Supervisor for year round consultation and project specific work. He has worked on a national tour, Buddy: the Buddy Holly Musical, as the master electrician after a contract with Royal Caribbean International as a stage technician. Commercial theatrical work includes installing Prodigy Hoists, an automated rigging system from Electronic Theatre Controls. In addition to his seasonal position with Florida Rep, John continues to freelance in the professional, academic, and community theatre circles.

AMY L. MASSARI*† (Production Stage Manager) is pleased to be returning for her eighth season as Florida Rep’s resident stage manager and an ensemble member. Amy has been a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association for the past 28 years, working in some of the country’s finest regional theatres: the Alley Theatre (Houston, TX), the Dallas Theatre Center (Dallas, TX), Stage-West (Springfield, MA), the Pioneer Memorial (Salt Lake City, UT), and Queens Theatre in the Park (New York, NY). Among her favorite Florida Rep productions are The Dingdong, Split In Three, The Fantasticks, Lend Me a Tenor, August: Osage County, Sylvia, and God of Carnage. Amy has been happily married to her husband of 20 years, Michael. Michael is a terrific partner, teacher, and father to their children Jesse Cheyenne and Caleb Dakota.

CREATIVE TEAMROSALIND METCALF (2nd Keyboard) taught vocal music for 25 years in a New Jersey public high school, retiring in 2013 and relocating to southwest Florida. She has been musical director/accompanist for the Theater Department of Rowan University in New Jersey, including their Summer Children’s Theater program; musical director/accompanist for the theater program at Cumberland County College; and worked extensively as musical director/accompanist for over 40 years in theater productions throughout the southern New Jersey area.

DINA PEREZ*** (Costume Designer) is a freelance costume designer in the San Diego area, as well as regionally throughout the United States. She is very excited to return for her fourth design at Florida Rep! Recently, she received the Robert L.B. Tobin Director-Designer Showcase grant sponsored by OPERA America, for her team’s project proposal for The Cradle Will Rock. Credits include Shear Madness, Becky’s New Car, Too Marvelous for Words, and Around the World in 80 Days (Florida Rep), Triassic Parq: The Musical (Off-Broadway), The Glass Menagerie (Bartlett Theater), Deathtrap (Triad Stage), The Foreigner and The Comedy of Errors (Texas Shakespeare Festival), Hairspray (McLeod Summer Playhouse), and Così fan tutte (A.J. MATTHEW PODELL (Reeds) is a saxophonist based out of Fort Myers, Florida. Matthew recently has performed with Texarkana Symphony Orchestra (TX) Longview Symphony Orchestra (TX) and the SFA Swingin’ Axes Jazz Ensemble. In addition to his demand as a saxophonist, he also is in high demand as a clarinetist and flutist. He teaches privately as well as master classes around the state of Florida. Matthew received his Masters degree in 2016 in Saxophone Performance at Stephen F. Austin State University where he is studied renowned saxophonist Dr. Nathan Nabb. Matthew also received a Bachelor’s in Music Education at Stetson University in 2014.

JOSH SCHACHT (Sound Engineer) is happy to be taking part in his first production for Florida Rep. Working as a sound engineer for over 15 years, he has had experiences what have taken him around the world. Tours include Broadway shows such as Miss Saigon, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Blast! Josh has also held positions at North Shore Music theatre in Beverly, MA and Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, FL. After a nine-month hiatus, cruising and living aboard a sailboat, he is very pleased to jump back into musical theatre.

MIKE WINKELMAN*** (Set Designer) is a Distinguished Teaching Professor and Ida Belle Young Scholar at Auburn University Montgomery and has also been named an Outstanding Alumni of the University of North Texas. As a freelance designer, Mike has designed the scenery and/or lighting for such esteemed companies as the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, the Barter Theatre (Abingdon, VA), Blowing Rock Stage Co. (Blowing Rock, NC), the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina (Hilton Head, SC), the Eclipse Theatre (Chicago, IL), Candlewood International, the Texas Shakespeare Festival, the Temple Theatre (Sanford, NC), Mill Mountain Theatre (Roanoke, VA), the Springer Opera House (Columbus, GA), West Virginia Public Theatre, Dallas Repertory Theatre, the Alabama Dance Theatre, the Montgomery Ballet, and the Davis Theatre for the Performing Arts. He has also won 2 Lois Garren Awards for Design Excellence, had several Kennedy Center/ACTF Awards and was nominated for Chicago’s “Jeff ” Award for his design of Lost in Yonkers. Mr. Winkelman is also the owner/operator of First Tech, L.L.C., and, along with his wife Val, is the proud parent of two daughters, Emily and Courtney.

REBECCA FELDMAN (Conceiver) conceived The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee for which she won a Lucille Lortel Award, Drama Desk and Tony Nomination for Best Musical. She directed its world premiere at Barrington Stage Company in the summer of 2004. Rebecca conceived, directed, and performed in C-R-E-P-U-S-C-U-L-E, the play upon which Spelling Bee is based, with her company The Farm.

WILLIAM FINN (Composer/Lyricist) is the writer/composer of Falsettos (two Tony Awards: Best Book [with James Lapine] and Best original Score). He has written/composed In Trousers (L.A. Drama Critics Award), March of Falsettos (Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Musical, L.A. Drama Critics Award). Falsettoland (two Drama Desk Awards and Lucille Lortel Award for Best Musical), Romance in Hard Times (Public Theater), A New Brain (Lincoln Center/ Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical) and Elegies: A Song Cycle (Lincoln

Center) He graduated from Williams College, where he was awarded the Hutchinson Fellowship in Musical Composition.
