TODAY'S GAME: The red-hot Red Wings take their season-high 6-game win streak on the road as they begin a 7-game road trip with the opener of a 3-game series against the Scranton/WB RailRiders on Monday night (7:05 p.m.) at PNC Field in Moosic, PA... The Wings are 27-15 since May 27 and have moved from the cellar of the IL North all the way into 2nd place -- just 6.5 GB of Pawtucket... In the Wild Card, Rochester trails Norfolk by only 2.0 games... The RailRiders, winners of 4 straight and 8 of their last 10, enter this series as the second-hottest team in the IL behind the Wings...Scranton/WB is expected to have Yankees' great Derek Jeter in the lineup at shortstop on Monday night... After this 3-game set, the Wings will head to Pawtucket for a four-game series (THUR-SUN) against the Paw Sox prior to the All-Star Break (July 15-17).

BRING OUT THE BROOMS: With the Red Wings 12-7 win on Sunday, Rochester completed their first four-game sweep of Pawtucket since the 1995 season... Rochester now has three, four-game sweeps this season (also vs. LHV 5/27-30 & vs. GWN 6/13-16) for the first time since the 2006 season (vs. RIC 4/14-17, vs. COL 6/1-4 & vs. DUR 6/5-8). Last year, Rochester notched two four-game sweeps both coming against Toledo.

GAINING GROUND IN THE NORTH: The Wings have started their 24-game stretch against IL North opponents by going 6-3 over the first 9 games... In fact, the Wings are 13-5 against the North since May 27 and have moved from last place (on May 27) into 2nd place as of today... After going just 32-48 against their division rivals in 2012, the Wings are currently 24-24 vs. the North this season... From 2009-12, Rochester was just 123-197 (.384) against the North division, while going 121-135 (.473) against the rest of the IL. Their last winning season against the North came in 2008 when they went 43-37.

HOME COOKIN': The Wings won their season-high 5th straight game at home on Sunday as Rochester improved to 10-2 at Frontier Field since June 13 and 26-20 overall on the season. Going back further, the Wings are 19-7 at home since May 16. The Wings were just 7-13 in their first 20 games of the season at Frontier Field... Since May 16, the Wings are scoring 5.77 R/G (150 R in 26 G) at home -- over a full run more than they are averaging for the season (4.71 R/G). In all, the Wings are hitting 19 points higher at home (.265) than on the road (.246)... Prior to going 39-33 at Frontier Field last season, the Wings were just 94-122 (.435) at home from 2009-2011.

FOR STARTERS: Red Wings RHP Vance Worley won his 5th straight game on Sunday as he recorded his 4th quality start with the Wings allowing 3 ER in 6 IP. Over his 5-start win streak, Worley has posted a 3.24 ERA (12 ER/ 33.1 IP)... Wings starters are now 9-7 with a 3.02 ERA (37 ER/110.1 IP) since June 20 - a span of 18 games... Every starter over that span, with the exception of Logan Darnell’s injury-shortened start on 6/25 @ IND, has gone at least 5.0 innings and none have yielded more than 4 ER in any start... The Wings will hand the ball to their All-Star ace, Andrew Albers, on Monday who will be making his 5th straight road start for the Wings... The southpaw is 5-1, 2.64 ERA (18 ER/61.1 IP) including his first career CG-SHO (6/7 @ GWN) in 10 road starts this season... DOIN' THE DOUGIE: Doug Bernier extended his hit streak to a career-high 11 games with an infield single in the first inning on Sunday. He finished the day 2-for-5 with a triple and two runs scored... Bernier's only other 10-game hit streak in his career came in 2004 with Visalia (A)... Bernier is hitting .381 (16-for-42) over his streak... He's just the 3rd Red Wings player this season to record a hitting streak of at least 10 games (Colabello, 16 & Herrmann, 11)... Since the beginning of June, Bernier is batting .355 (44-for-124) with 15 XBH (10 2B, 4 3B, HR), 25 runs and 18 RBI in 36 games.

MORE ABOUT LAST NIGHT...:→Jermaine Mitchell led the offensive attack going 3-for-4 with a HR, 3 runs and 4 RBI... It was Mitchell's first HR as a Red Wing and 6th of the season... Meanwhile, since the beginning of May, Albers is 8-2 with a 2.63 ERA in 12 starts including his first career complete-game shutout on June 7 against Gwinnett. COLABELLO, TONKIN HONORED: For the 2nd straight month, the Twins Minor League Player and Pitcher of the Month can be found on the Red Wings roster... 1B/OF Chris Colabello was named the Twins MiLB Player of the Month for the 2nd straight month after hitting .362 (34-for-94) with 8 homers and 26 RBI in 25 games with the Wings. The 8 HR and 26 RBI are the most in any month in Colabello's career... Right-hander reliever Michael Tonkin claimed Twins MiLB Pitcher of the Month honors after going 5-for-5 in save opportunities and not allowing an earned run over 8 appearances in June (11.2 ip, 5h, 2r, 0 er, bb, 11k).

CLOSING TIME: After Aaron Thompson's 3-inning save Thursday, the Wings are now 12-for-12 in save opportunities since the beginning of June after going 15-for-26 in save chances the first two months of the season... The Wings, who led the league with 48 saves a season ago, currently rank 2nd in the IL with 27 saves despite the fact no Red Wings pitcher has more than six on the year. RHP Luis Perdomo, who has a team-leading 6 saves, ranks T-13th in the IL in that category... The Wings have used a closer-by-committee approach as already a tied for franchise record 11 different Red Wings have recorded a save for the Wings in 2013... The 2012, 2009 and 1995 clubs also had 11 hurlers record a save.

ODD & ENDS: The Wings were an IL-worst 12-14 when scoring first on May 25, however they have gone 20-2 when scoring first since and their 32-16 (.667) mark is now 8th in the IL... The Wings are 20-11 (.645) in one run games this year -- the best in the IL. Their 20 wins are tied for the most in the league with Norfolk.

GETTING RELIEF: Since June 27 -- a span of 11 games -- the Red Wings bullpen has yielded just 8 runs in 25.1 innings pitched (2.84 ERA). Four of those eight runs were allowed by A.J. Achter on Sunday (7/7) in his Triple-A debut... The Red Wings are now 14-0 when leading after five innings since June 13 and 23-1 since May 27... The bullpen has posted a 4.03 ERA (30 ER/67.0 IP) since June 13 -- down 1.2 runs from their season ERA of 5.23... On the season, Rochester is 39-9 when leading after five, 40-2 when leading after seven and a perfect 37-0 when leading through eight frames.
