October is the month of the Rosary- As one of the most widely practiced extra-liturgical devotion to Mary, the

Rosary is likely a familiar prayer with your children. This month, take some time to help your children deepen

their understanding and their prayer experience of the Rosary. At St. Mary we pray the Rosary before every dailyand weekend Mass. Why not try and arrive 30 minutes early this month and pray the rosary. On October 13,

1:30-4:30pm there will be a continuous Rosary in honor of Our Lady of Fatima. What a great way to honor our

    Lady.

    God Bless

    COACHS CORNER

Team Rocket Soccer maintained a first place tie on Saturday and roared into solepossession of first place Sunday. Saturday we beat United Monroe 2 to 1 in a well

fought battle defending our home turf. The game was tiedat the half and Liam Jakovac scored first. Alex Murrayscored the winning goal. Defense dominated, midfieldmoved the ball to the forwards, and our forwards did the

job. Sunday, feast of Sts. Gabriel, Michael, and Raphael, proved to be positive for two of their namesakes. MichaelMurray stunned the Panthers by scoring five minutes intothe game. However St. Joes took the lead by scoring inminutes 20 and 22. Never giving up, Alex (Murray orSzczechowski - poor note taking by coach) scored for us inminute 27, and this was quickly erased by a St. Joseph's at28 minutes. Two goals were scored by their tall forwardnumber 3. The second half Kathryn Murray was given thetask to stick on 3 like glue, and he never saw the goalagain. Gabriel Pascua and Ethan Hartman dominated thedefense; while Drew Dykowski owned the goal area making

some spectacular saves. Andrew Szczechowski tied thegame at 35, followed by scores by Michael Murray (40) and Liam Jakovac (45).

We never quit, but Ms. Otten noticed that the more we shut down the pantherscorers the less fire in their bellys she saw. First place is ours to protect, let's do itSaturday against Holy Ghost in Erie. (Be there by 9:30 SHARP.)I never coached a more balanced (4 different scorers this week) and teamsupporting St. Mary Soccer team. Team observed that a goal is often quicklyfollowed by another goal. Don't let your guards down.
