PRINCIPALS MESSAGE

TERM 2, WEEK 7, 12 JUNE 2019

The Thunderbolt’s Alliance schools came together at Rocky River last Friday for a ball games day. Students enjoyed playing with students from other schools.

At last Wednesday night’s P&C meeting I announced my intention of taking leave next term followed by retirement from Week 2 Term 4 . An expression of interest will be circulated for the Relieving Principal position and the successful candidate should be announced before the end of term. The substantive position for Principal will be advertised during Term 4 for commencement at the start of 2020. Although I am looking forward to a more relaxed lifestyle, I will take considerable time to readjust after 42 rewarding years of teaching.

Rocky River Public School is once again participating in the Woolworths

Earn & Learn program. You can collect stickers until June 25.

There is a Earn & Learn box outside Mrs. Thornton’s office. Once you

have completed the full sticker chart or would like to pass on any single

stickers you can either pop them in the box at the school or the box

outside Woolworths which is labelled with our School name.

Thank you to all students, carers, families and community members for

your ongoing support.

KEEPING UP WITH THE P&C

CLOTHING POOL– Due to the cold weather we have a

number of second-hand school jumpers available at $2 each.

Sizes ranging from 5-10, we also have some items to give

away. Come in and grab a bargain before they all go.
