STEPS TO BE TAKEN AND KEY FACTORS
# 1
Gather a small group of WO personnel, friends of WO and Kairos graduates who have a relationship with World Outreach
and are passionate about mobilising and sending out workers
Invite them to have an initial conversation around basic ideas on:
Mobilising, Training and Deployment
clear focus
shared missiological understanding
shared vision
# 2
Plan more meetings for those who are
willing to continue the conversation.
pray and seek the Lord together
plan culturally-relevant styles of meetings
shared ownership of the vision will be developed
right participants who could join are those with short and long term mission, church planting and pastoring experience
# 3
A core MTD team can now be formed.
This group continues to grow relationally
through divinely appointed connections
(people who are drawn to the way that WO works and not just its vision )
DYNAMICS PRESENT
clear commitment to work with WO
developing teamwork
members with various gifts/skill sets needed for developing MTD (admin, research, SWOT analysis, documentation, strategic planning)
leadership that brings out the best in people and makes the whole process enjoyable
inviting guests to join the meetings (people to learn from or are interested to know more about MTD)
networking with other groups, churches and organizations
# 4
The MTD team regularly meets (2 days, 4 times a year) to continue the building process. Decisions are noted, action steps are defined and updates are given regarding the progress.
Once the vision is caught and buy-in has occurred, implementable steps can then be initiated

OVERVIEW OF THE PROCESS OF ESTABLISHING AN MTD
4. Walk them through the initial stages of establishing an MTD
(For WO countries with existing MTD-type structures, it would be more sharing of best practice/cross-
pollination)
5. Lead them through the concept stage, then into the implementation stage
1. Get to know the people who have the passion for an MTD (Find out who they are, what they have, what their gifts are, how developed their mission understanding is).
2. Invite them to an MTD Meeting (exposure to a functioning model)
3. Talk to them about the MTD concepts (e.g. team, spiritual aspect of MTD development)
