The RoleFit Survey™ is a competency-based online assessment tool designed to measure the

suitability of a specific individual to a specific job/role. There are three versions, each one intended to

provide valid and reliable decision support for different target populations, specifically:

1. Job Applicants 2. An Organizations Active Workforce 3. Students

Formal assessments are commonly used in the workplace and in academic settings and depending

on the focus of the assessment, can be used to measure a variety of aspects about an applicant,

including but not limited to; attitudes, behaviors, competencies, skills, styles, preferences, aptitudes and

intelligence.

Ascentii has 1,200+ jobs in its master job repository; these job titles and their accompanying job

descriptions come from O*NET. O*NET OnLine has been created for the U.S. Department of Labor,

Employment & Training Administration and has detailed job descriptions for use by job seekers,

workforce development and HR professionals, students and researchers in the US and internationally.

O*NET has analyzed each job/role by a series of prioritized work-related activities, tasks, skills and

styles. The RoleFit Survey™ uses The WorkPlace Big 5 Profile (WB5P) to measure and compare the skills

and styles of an individual applicant or student to the skills and styles of a specific job/role in the O*NET

job bank. More specifically, from a defensibility perspective, the WB5P:

Is a normative test suitable for job selection;

Is the most current, most valid, most reliable means of assessing personality today;

The coefficient alpha of .83 is among the highest of all industry assessments;

Is in compliance with International Test Commission standards;

Can be used to establish predictive validity against a variety of jobs;

WB5P assessment questionnaire and reports have been approved by an EEOC lawyer;

Is used in conjunction with a growing normative group. The “Norm Group” reflects race,

language and gender equivalent to their appearance in the population at large.
