VISIT  ROME,  ITALY  during  the  Special  Year  of  the  Jubilee  (July  24-­‐28,  2016)  Visit  Rome  and  see  Pope  Francis  after  the  URI  Summer  Program  in  Calabria  and  Puglia  

 Costs:    $650-­‐double  room  -­‐$750-­‐single  room.  The  program  requires  a  minimum  of  15  participants  to  run.  

This  includes  bus  from  San  Demetrio  Corone,  Calabria,  to  Rome,  car  service  to  Casa  Presentazione  Residence,  room  for  4  nights  and  a  total  of  5  days  in  Rome,  faculty  member  escort,  breakfasts  and  dinners,  metro  and  bus  passes,  all  tour  admissions+tour  guide  (Palatino  and  Roman  Forum,  Coliseum,  Vatican  Museums  and  the  Sistine  Chaple),  guided  tour  of  the  main  monuments   in  Rome  and   last  but  not   least,  see  Pope  Francis  at  the  Sunday  Angelus  and  possible  participation  at  the  Wednesday  July  27th  Papal  Audience  in  Vatican  City.

Arrival  in  Rome  at  6  am.  Car  Service  to  the  Residence  (included  in  the  fee).  Arrival  at  residence  and  orientation.  Visit  of  S.  Peter  Square  to  see  Pope  Francis  at  the  Angelus.  

Afternoon/  Evening:    

Visit  of:  Piazza  Navona,  Pantheon  &  San  Luigi  dei  Francesi  Church  (with  paintings  by  Caravaggio).    Dinner.  

 Monday  July  25,  2016  Morning:   Breakfast  at  the  residence  (included/complimentary).    

Guided  tour  of  the  Vatican:  Vatican  Museums,  the  Sistine  Chapel  and  Saint  Peter’s  Basilica.  Afternoon:   Visit  of:  Piazza  della  Repubblica,  Piazza  Venezia,  il  Campidoglio.  Evening:   Dinner.    Tuesday,  July  26,  2016  Morning:   Breakfast  at  the  residence  (included/complimentary).    

Guided  tour  of  the  Coliseum,  Palatin  and  Roman  Forums,  Chiesa  dell'Ara  Coeli,  San  Pietro  in  Vincoli  with  the  Moses  by  Michelangelo.    

Afternoon/  Evening:  

Visit  of  Isola  Tiberina,  The  Mouth  of  Truth  and  Trastevere.    Dinner  in  Trastevere.  

 Wednesday,  July  27,  2016  Morning:  Afternoon/  Evening:  

Breakfast  at  the  residence  (included/complimentary).  Papal  Audience  at  the  Vatican  (TBC)  Tour  of  Piazza  di  Spagna  and  Scalinata  Trinità  dei  Monti,  Piazza  del  Popolo  &  the  Trevi  Fountain.  Dinner.
