ROMeo Delayed Coker Unit Reactor ModelSimSci™ Delayed Coker Unit (DCU) Reactor model is one of the reactor models for Refinery Modeling in the industry-leading ROMeo® Online Performance Suite. Delayed coking is a thermal cracking process used in petroleum refineries to upgrade and convert petroleum residuum into high value liquid and gas streams. Accurate modeling of delayed coking units can help refiners extract maximum value from less costly heavy crudes. The DCU Reactor model can be utilized to model accurate industrial delayed coker units of different designs.

Features The DCU model offers the following key features:• Models the entire delayed coker unit, including the

• Inputs include feed characteristics, coke drum overhead temperature, pressure, and recycle rate
• Three types of products, gases from H2S, H2 , C1 to C4, liquid from C5 up to NBP 1100 °F, and solid coke
• Yields and properties are tunable, during operation, to maintain model accuracy
