 In September 2015, 248 schools from all over New Zealand competed in the inter-schools AIMs Games

competition. Lucky for us Heaton Intermediate

was apart of the competition and I was in the Heaton A netball team. We came 29th

out of 96 teams.

While we weren't with our teams we stayed with a billeting family, My family were so nice! We had a great time!

Disco  

The disco was a famous time of the year because everyone had a great

time and wouldn’t stop dancing. Students with their friends and everyone

had a perfect night. The night was over and all was great but it was time

to wrap the night up.

  

   

  

The history of Scotland is known to have begun by the end of the last glacial period (in the paleolithic), roughly 10,000 years ago. Prehistoric Scotland entered the Neolithic Era about 4000 BC, the Bronze Age about 2000 BC, and the Iron Age around 700 BC. Dia Duit! In term 3, 2014 we produced a production called Fusion. Every house had a country to study and perform, In Lansdowne we focused on Scotland. As a house we practised every week to the lead up to Fusion. We did a dance and a song called ‘O Flower of Scotland’ with some musical instruments accompanying us these included the flute, piano and the violin.

  

    

        

THE SHOW :    

HONK JR WAS A WHOLE SCHOOL PRODUCTION WITH THREE STUDENTS FROM ROOM 11 PERFORMING AND TWO IN THE CREW. WE WORKED VERY HARD AND GOT GREAT FEEDBACK. IT WAS A HEATON HIGHLIGHT WE WILL NEVER FORGET!

 

     Fun day filled with fun and joy. A great day to develop strong team

skills. Lansdowne continuously contributes 101% to represent our

TENNIS: At 12:15pm on Tuesday we headed over to the flagpole to do the roll. Then we walked 

over to the Elmwood tennis courts to start the tournament.  

       The games started and the competition raged on. As the rounds finish and the semi­finals started we all got nervous. I got through the semis and I won 6­0. Trent lost 

5­6 which was a close game against Felix.  

        The final began and the pressure kicked in. We battled each other. The heat makes us sweat and feel light headed. William managed to win the match 6­3, 6­2.
