Daily SchedulesOur daily schedules are posted outside our classroom doors. We have copies available for you to take home tonight.

Included in our daily routines:

- 8:30-8:45 - Grab n’ Go Breakfast - 5th year!

- Flouride is given after breakfast each morning

- A healthy snack is provided each day-5th year!

- Brain Breaks - 10 min. most afternoons

- 11:40-12:25- Daily Lunch and recess time

Note: Late Openings-Doors open at 10:30am on the third

Wednesday of every month, except November.

Language Arts

• Scott Foresman/ Reading Street. • Small group plan for differentiated instruction: on-level, strategic

intervention and advanced.• Skills overview: oral language, phonics, blending sounds, decoding

with common word parts, spelling, high frequency and amazing words.

Home/School Activities

• Students will receive homework every week through May.• Assignments will cover what has been learned at school during

the current and previous weeks.• Completion of homework is very important and is used for

grading at report card time.• Students should read at least 15 to 20 mins everyday• Ability needs will be addressed. (differentiation)• Limit students to only the daily assignment requests.• Homework goes home on Monday and is returned on Friday.

Potential Field Trips

• We will ride Tri-Met, take school buses and walk for our field trips this year.

• Chaperones will be needed for every field trip. Please let us know if there is a field trip you prefer to attend and we will make every effort to accommodate your request. District volunteer forms will need to be up- to-date in order to attend.
