The year 2012 was a huge year for gospel music and although the veterans made an unforgettable impact last year, it was evident that the new artists came to state their claim. The following bodies of work are albums that I could not stop listening to in 2012. Some you may have heard, others may have you scratching your head. Whatever the case, here are my Top 10 favorite albums of 2012.

Root: So who would be on your wish list to work with?
Anita Wilson: Wish List?...Well it goes without saying that Rick Robinson will be involved in the next project. Off of the top of my head, and to name a few Id love to work with Tommy Simms, Lalah Hathaway, Lecrae and one of my all-time favorite singers, Bishop Yvette Flunder.
Root: Yes, I can certainly envision some amazing work resulting from those collaborations.
Anita Wilson: Tell me about it Root: Well I know you have some exciting things on the horizon. Congratulations on the Stellar Award nominations.
Anita Wilson: Thank you so much. I am so humbled to be nominated alongside so many other great artists. Its also somewhat overwhelming because of how vast the industry is. This means people are connecting to the music and that they are being blessed by my first project. Its sur-real.
