Dear Ms. Jacobs,I am a most satisfied “customer” of Fanshawe Consultant, Rosemary Carter and I would like to pass my story to you. On May 28, 2010 I contacted Rosemary Carter to tell her that I was looking for a person to do maintenance yard work for the season. After discussing with me what I needed Rosemary sent a Help Needed flyer to her colleagues outlining my request along with my contact information. Within two hours Harold had replied to the flyer by sending his resume to me via email. I later learned that he was/is attending Fanshawe College and had put his resume together with help from instructors there. I have been quite pleased with his work habits since he began working for us near the end of May. Because of his reliability, honesty, courtesy, attention to detail and excellent work ethic, I have referred him to a friend who required lawn maintenance in her absence this summer. I also shared my enthusiasm for Harold’s work with my neighbors who also hired him to do yard work. They too, were pleased with his work ethic.Later in the summer, in discussion with my husband, Harold mentioned that he was planning to apply for the work which was advertised for the Norfolk County Fair. Again, because of Harold’s above mentioned qualities I spoke to Karen Matthews, Manager, Norfolk County Fair and told her about Harold.Karen told me to pass on to Harold that he should use my name as a reference and to stop by the Fair office as soon as possible as they are in need of good workers. I was quite happy to relay this information to him. I will not hesitate to refer Harold for future work possibilities. This would not have happened without contacting Rosemary Carter. As I stated at the beginning of this letter, I am a most satisfied “customer” of the services provided by Rosemary Carter, Fanshawe Consultant and the Fanshawe College Community Career Resource Centres.Sincerely,Virginia Birnie
