ROSS`S FAKE ACCENT

The character Ross Geller In the video he is a professor of

paleontology at New York University. He was at the beginning of his career.

Standing in front of the students he was nervous and started to speak in a British accent.

Chav The expression: “Oh, bloody hell” The interjection: “wright!”

Ross Geller`s attitude: He changes his accent into a British one

because in this way he controls his emotions.

He moves his eyebrows up and down trying to get the attention of his students.

He also smiles because in this way he looks agreeable and relaxed.

Paralanguage Ross is trying very hard to get the

attention of his students by his tone and the rhythm of his voice, his mimicry and his gestures.

He tries to control his emotions by changing his American accent into a British one.
