May 13, 2020 The Honorable Asa Hutchinson Governor of Arkansas State Capitol Little Rock, AR 72201 RE: 2020 Roster of Arkansas Registered Foresters Dear Governor: Arkansas Code §17-31-207(b) requires the Board of Registration for Foresters to print a Roster of Arkansas Registered Foresters. Arkansas Code §17-31-101 through 310 contains the specific laws governing Registered Foresters. The purpose of the law is to protect the public, especially private individual landowners, from fraudulent, uneducated practitioners. To maintain their license, Registered Foresters must earn eight Continuing Forestry Educations units per year including one hour of ethics. Each Registered Forester agrees to conform to a Code of Ethics concerning his/her professional conduct.
This Roster lists 426 foresters who met the requirements to be licensed as Arkansas Registered Foresters for the year 2020. This includes 19 newly Registered Foresters since May 2019 and those foresters who renewed their license. We have made every effort to ensure the correctness of the Roster. In the event of errors or omissions, the Board will send appropriate correspondence to inquiring parties.

REQUIREMENTS FOR RENEWING REGISTERED FORESTERS LICENSE
By December 1 each year, the Board will send each Registered Forester in this Roster a renewal notice. If you have a change of address during the year, please notify the Board before November. The notice will include the following “CFE LOG.”
To renew your Registered Forester license, the board requires persons who are licensed to complete not
less than eight (8) qualifying continuing forestry education (CFE) hours during the previous year (including one forestry ethics hour).
“The board may waive the continuing forestry education requirements in cases of hardship, illness, or retirement from active forestry practice.” “Renewal of certificate of registration shall be for an annual fee set annually by the board.” For FY2020, the Board has set the registration and renewal fees at $30. Penalty fees may apply if a late renewal. By submitting this form you attest that during the previous year you have not pleaded guilty or nolo contendere to or been found guilty of any offenses by any court in the State of Arkansas or of any offense by a court in another state or of any offense by a federal court, unless the conviction was lawfully sealed under the Comprehensive Criminal Record Sealing Act of 2013, Ark. Code. Annotated 16-90-1401 et seq., or otherwise previously sealed, pardoned, or expunged under prior law. If the answer is yes, please contact our office.

Arkansas Code §17-31-306. “(a) Each registrant may obtain a seal of a design authorized by the board, bearing the registrant's name, serial number, and the legend "Registered Forester, Arkansas." All registrants engaged in the practice of forestry, either in a private professional practice or as an employee of an agency of the government or of a corporation, company, partnership, individual, or other private employer, shall endorse with his name and impress with his seal all plans, specifications, maps, reports, or documents which he prepares or which shall be prepared under his supervision. (b) Anyone who endorses his name or impresses his seal upon any document, after the certificate of registration of the registrant named thereon has expired or has been revoked, shall be charged with a misdemeanor unless his certificate has been renewed or reissued.”
