Rotary Club of Citrus Heights July 25, 2012 Song: We All Sang America the Beautiful Invocation: Tina Shaw Pledge: President Rich Introduction of Visiting Rotarians: Jeff Slowey introduced from the Historic Folsom Club, with the Classification of Urban Planning, Roberta MacGlashan… Roberta is also our Sacramento County Supervisor… Welcome Roberta… Introduction of Guests: Ray Riehle introduced Brock Peck, Brock is with Advanced Pest Control… Welcome Brock… Mel Turner introduced Kirk Schayltz, Kirk is the Manager of the Luck Derby… Welcome Kirk… Club Foundation Minute : Ray Riehle (Chair) Ray announced that the next Foundation Board Meeting will be next Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 7:30 AM…Ray expects to use Christi Woodards officer, so please confirm with Ray before attending…The Foundation is considering donating Athletic Equipment to schools and will also work on a Needs Assessment for the City of Citrus Heights… Thanks Ray… Membership Minute: President Rich spoke about the Ignite Program and solicited Pledges to him that members will bring one new member to the Club… Ruben Bareng, Mel Turner, Jack Frost, Ray Riehle and Jessica Mang made the pledge to President Rich… Our Program next week will be about the Ignite Program… Sacramento Capitals Wrap Up: Ray Riehle thanked those members that worked this event for all their efforts to make it a success… Ray presented Jesse Hernandez a check for $250 as an reimbursement to Jesse for the expense he incurred for this event that he would not ask for payment… Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament: Reminder that the Chamber has re-scheduled this event to August 20, to allow Rotary members to participate… Thanks Tina… Rotary Club of Citrus Heights Annual Golf Tournament: Doyle Phelan announced Our Annual Golf Tournament will be on Saturday, September 28 at Morgan Creek…He and Jack Duncan are Chairing this event… Flyers and Tickets are expected to be available next week… Helicopter ball drop tickets are $10 each or 3 for $25… Shotgun Start at 8 AM with a light breakfast prior…We need Foursomes… 100 Players would be a real success…Door and Raffle Prizes are needed…President Rich is working on a Major Sponsor for this event and hopes to announce it at our next meeting…Stay Tuned…

Oktoberfest 2012 at Citrus Heights Community Center: Steven Bruce (Chair) spoke about each member selling 5 tickets ($30 each)… Tickets have been distributed to most of the members… President Rich spoke to the Silent Auction Items for this Joint Rotary Fundraiser and indicated that the number of Silent Auction Items is determined by the number of tickets sold…Take Advantage of the additional 25 tickets left… Check out the Oktoberfest Flyer on our website: www.chrotary.org District Golf Tournament Wrap Up: Ruben Bareng attended the tournament and spoke about having breakfast with PDG Clarence Parkins… Major sponsor of the event was Save Mart and there was a good foursome turnout… Rob Deatsch was in the second foursome and spoke about how nice the course was to play.
