EXERCISE TWO

Picture Search

Creating a resource pack

‘The Christ we Share’: produced for group and individual use

Insights into different views of Christianity from around the world

Based on series of images of Christ, ancient and modern, paintings, sculpture, drawings etc


The exercise

Imagine you are approached by the author at the beginning of the production process.

What work needs to be carried out and by whom, to bring this project to completion?

Which tasks involve image management (in the broadest sense)?

Jot down ideas on a blank sheet of paper in two columns – task and person to do it


Then

Taking those activities which involve image management, think of the competencies needed for each.

List these, then group in logical relationships, where possible

Using the wheel diagram, note on the outer circles the competencies identified, keeping related ones together


And finallyImage yourself at the centre of the wheel.

Mark a point on the axis of each competency in indicating your current level of confidence in doing that task

Then join the dots. The areas where the resulting shape dips to the centre are those where you might find more training helpful.
