Basic RPMS Techniques
• Delete key = backspace– Type “abcde” and then use delete key to
remove
• Type just first couple of letters– Go to CORE (HEAL, DEN, DDS)– Type just first two letters: “CO”– Type “DDS” to get to dental package

• Up-hat (^)– Your best friend in the DDS package!– To get in and out of the system (or shortcuts)– Try this: Go back to beginning and type
“^DDS” to go directly to the dental package
• ?? - Use if you’re unsure of choices• Default (yes//) – means you don’t have to
type anything in if you want that choice (saves time)

• Type “IN” (inquire)• Type “HS” (health summary)• Use (for this exercise) the diabetes standard default
