Descripon:
The Cha Countermeasure CCM RR170 forms part
of a defensive aids system to protect the host
aircra from passive radar-guided missile threats
by providing a suitable alternave and preferred
target or decoy. The purpose of the decoy is to
ensure that the passive radar-guided missile
passes the target aircra by an eecve miss
distance.
The Chemring Countermeasures cartridge is adirect t, form and funcon replacement for
those of USA origin. The cha cuts are opmised
to provide a broad-band radar return signal but
the radar cross secon prole can be manipulated
by incorporang diering cha cuts to meet the
demands of specic end user requirements.
The CCM RR170 is fully compable with all the
dispensing systems ulising magazines congured
for 1 x 1 payloads including AN/ALE 40, 45 and
47 series, M130, M147, MBDA/Alkan, Terma,
MES, Rokar and Thales for example.
