Looking at the Dutch advert for post I want to explore the art of letter writing through the design of a set of stamps. It should entice the sender to post a letter. I feel looking at how personal a letter can be and heart warming is a good factor. Though this advertise-ment is effective and grabs attention, it has a grotesque appraoch which may not ap-peal to a wide range of au-diences. I want to explore the same concept but with a more subtle approach than showing blood and gore. A hand drawn love heart would give the same message in a more esthetically pleasing way.Advertising Agency: Jung

Focusing on the letter box, i started to explore the idea of feeding your box post. I played with the notion of the letter box having teeth, eyes, a nose and tongue. I really enjoyed how playful this idea is but felt it was possibly to aggressive looking and slightly scary.

I then started to experiment with the idea of using letter and envelope matierlas to cre-ate a peice of work. Focusing on the idea of inside ive start-ed to pla with whats inside an envelope and whats inside us the sender.

I didnt want to draw and pho-tograph a person as i felt it took away from the fous of what is inside. I used the inside of an enve-lope with security print which stops people seeing through letters and prevent fraud.

I started to look at the con-cept of sending a part of you in a letter, not physically but in terms of personal touhes; hand written, perfume coated,

, marking with a kiss etc.
