How we can help support the ‘Right Learning in the Right Place’ and ‘High Quality and Efficient Learning’In our efforts to support the changing FE landscape, JISC RSC Scotland has developed an CPD opportunity to stimulate thinking, debate and action on how the curriculum might be redesigned to meet regional outcomes and begin a process of change.

Providing the “Right Learning in the Right Place” and “High Quality and Efficient Learning” requires new approaches to course design and ICT can provide innovative solutions to enhance learning. We have developed a simple model to help institutions provide high quality, flexible learning opportunities for their learners. This day-long staff development session is designed to be run as a cluster event with institutions that are merging or federating and facing the challenges of regionalisation.

Delegates will learn about technology enabled curriculum development - the tools, technologies and activities. The course will help participants understand effective strategies and the underpinning theories to support changes in the current FE landscape.

How we can help review your technology implementationIs your college a technology-effective provider? Has your institution’s use of technologies for learning & teaching engaged and empowered your staff and students?

The JISC RSC Scotland have a tool called ‘Harnessing Technology’. This service is designed to help explore the impact of technology adoption and its use with learners to add value to their learning experience. The report generated at the end of the review process will provide senior managers with a clear picture of key issues affecting the use of technology in their college and the impact that learning technologies have made on the learning experiences for students. The Harnessing Technology service is completely free to our supported institutions.
