3. Method of Disassembly and Assembly

(For your own safety, please turn off the power, while installing/removing the parts.)

Top Cover

3-1-1 Disassemble Top Cover

Step 1. Open the top cover

Press the buttons of on the both sides of the printer (arrow 1), and then open the top cover in the direction

of arrow 2.

Step 2. Remove the top cover

Remove the screws (see red circles 1&2) and open ribbon window cover as the figure 2 & 3 indicates.

Press the latches (see red circles 3&4) on the back of the top cover downwards and push them backwards.

Step 1. Assemble Top Cover

Assemble Top Cover in the direction of the arrow.

Step 2. Close the ribbon window cover

Tighten the screws (see red circles 1&2) and insert the latches(see red circles 3&4) on the both sides of the top

cover into the machine. Close the ribbon window cover in the direction of the arrow.

3-2 Base

3-2-1 Disassemble the Base

Step 1. Remove the front panel

Push the latches (see red cycles) on the both sides of the platen upwards and remove the front panel

in the direction of the arrow as the figure below indicates.

Step 2. Remove the screws

Remove the screws (see red circles) and remove the base in the direction of the arrow.

Step 1. Assemble the Base

Assemble the Base into the printer in the direction of the arrow and tighten the screws (see red circles)

Step 2 Assemble the front panel

Push the latches (see red circles) on the both sides of the platen outwards and assemble the front panel into the

machine (see figure 3).

Finally, push the latches (see red circles) on the both sides of the platen inwards

3-3-1 Disassemble TPH Module

Step 1. Remove the TPH module

Remove the TPH module as the arrows below indicate.

Step 2. Remove the TPH cover

Press the latches on the both sides of the cover inwards (figure 1) and push the cover backwards

(figure2). Remove the TPH cover in the direction of the arrow (figure3).

Step 3. Remove the see-through sensor

Push the latches on the both sides of the see-through sensor outwards (figure1) and remove the

sensor in the direction of the arrow (figure2).

Step 4. Remove TPH

Remove the screws (see red circles 1&2) and disconnect the cable of TPH from the mainboard (see red

circle 3).

Remove the TPH in the direction of the arrow.

Step 1. Connect the cable to main board

Connect the cable of TPH to the main board as the figure below indicates

Assemble TPH Module in the direction as the figure below indicates

Step 3. Tighten the screws

Fix the TPH at TPH bracket with screws and tighten them (see red circles).

Step 2. Assemble the see-through sensor

Put the see-through sensor (red circle 1) into the TPH cover and engage it with latches (red circle 2&3)

on both sides of TPH cover.

Step 5. Assemble the TPH cover

Engage the latches of the cover into the bracket as the figure below indicates

Push the latches on the both sides of platen upwards as the figure below indicates

Step 2. Remove platen module

Remove platen module in the direction of the arrow

Step 1. Disassemble Transmission Gear Module

Untighten the screws on the gear (red circle marked), and remove the gear(1) and the spring(2) to

disassemble the transmission gear module.

Step 2. Disassemble Label Guide

Push the left side of the label guide to the right(1), and pull up the label guide to disassemble the

label guide. Vise Versa. (Press on the button at red circle 6 to remove the right side of the label

guide)

Please follow the instruction as the diagram illustrate below to assemble the label guide .

Just like the left side. The only difference is pressing the red marked button is required to assemble

the right label guide.

Step 3. Assemble Transmission Gear

Place the contact gear (2) at the red circle 3 location to lock the transmission module.

Step 4. Assemble Tension Spring

Attach two end of the spring onto the hook of the base and the bottom hook of the left label guide as

the diagram shown below.

Please place the mainboard on the marked areain the diagram and match the tenon(red circle 1) to

the base mortise(red circle 2) carefully.

Untighten the screws (red circle marked), and push the label path plate to the left as the diagram

shown.

Please insert the spring(1) which locates on the right side of the label path plate into the mortise (3),

and then place the right tenon(2) into the other mortise(4).

Step 2. Complete

Place the left side of the label path plate into the mortise(1,2) on the print frame and tighten the

screws(3,4) afterwards to complete the process.

Remove the E-ring from the pin(1) to be able to disassemble the pin.(2,3)

Step 2. Disassemble Damper Module

Untighten the red marked screw to remove the damper module.

Push out the damper(1,2) as the diagram shown below to remove the print frame.

Step 2. Complete

Please assemble the print frame as the diagram shown below.

Step 2. Place the Damper into the Mortise

Bend the damper slightly outward(1,2) to make it easier to fit the mortise.

Place the damper holder on the base (1,2), and squeeze the spring into the damper holder (3), then

install the damper holder plate on the side(4) with screws(5).

Step 4. Assemble Print Frame

Insert the pin through print frame and the printer base and complete the process by locking E-ring

on the sides.

5. Download Tool

(Please switch on the power and plug in the cable before downloading.)

Download Tool is used for downloading firmware, True Type Font and Font Code Table. To use the Download Tool, please

open the folder that Download Tool is stored. The folder should include two files as shown in Figure 1:

Click icon to start the Download Tool program. There are three buttons on the main window (Figure 2) of

Download Tool; each of them can perform different download function.

Select the connection port that is being used to connect the printer (refer to Figure 3).

(*Note: When using COM port as connection port, please set the printer’s Baud rate to 115200.)

Click “Download Firmware” button, the program would ask to specify the location that the firmware file is stored.

Select the firmware file (the extension name is “.bin”) and click “Open”. (See Figure 4)

When the progress bar shows “100%”, the firmware download is complete. Please wait for printer to complete the reset

procedure. The printer would turn to “Ready to printer” status after resetting.

The printer will reboot after the progress bar shows “100%”, the Firmware is completely downloaded.

6. Troubleshooting

Problem Solution

The printer is switched on but the LEDs do not

light up.

◆ Check the power supply.

The LED lights up red (ERROR) and printing is

interrupted.

◆ Check whether is an error in the software settings or the print

commands.

◆ Replace the print medium with a suitable medium.

◆ Check whether there is a label jam.

◆ Check whether the label stock is finished.

◆ Check whether the print mechanism is closed (the print head is

not positioned correctly).

◆ Check whether the print medium is covering the sensor.

The label stock passes through the printer but no

image is printed.

◆ Please make sure that the label stock is loaded the right way up

and that it is suitable material.

◆ Choose the correct printer driver.

◆ Choose the correct label stock and a suitable printing mode.

The label stock jams during printing. ◆ Clear the paper jam. Remove any label material left on the

thermal print head and clean the print head using a soft lint-free

cloth dipped in alcohol.

The label stock does not move correctly and

there is no printed image on some parts of the

label.

◆ Check whether any label material is stuck to the thermal print

head.

◆ Check for errors in the application software.

◆ Check whether the starting position has been set incorrectly.

◆ Check the power supply.

There is no printed image on part of the label. ◆ Check the thermal print head for dust or other dirt.

◆ Use the internal “~T” command to check whether the thermal

print head will carry out a complete print job.

◆ Check the quality of the print medium.

The printed image is positioned incorrectly. ◆ Check whether there is paper or dust covering the sensor.

◆ Check whether the label liner is suitable. Please contact your

dealer.

◆ Check the paper guide settings.

A label is missed out during printing. ◆ Check the label height setting.

◆ Check whether there is dust covering the sensor.

The printed image is blurred. ◆ Check the darkness setting.

◆ Check the thermal print head for glue residue or other dirt.
