6th ANNUAL WOMEN IN BANKING CONFERENCE

Knowledge, Power, Mentorship

Wednesday, April 6, 2016

The Palace at Somerset Park, Somerset, NJ

Join us in celebrating our sixth annual one-day conference concentrating on the

advancement of women in leadership positions. Successful women managers and leaders

from New Jersey financial institutions and affiliated professional groups share their

experiences and knowledge with future leaders.

Dorothy Savarese, of Cape Cod Five Mutual Company and In-coming Chairwoman, of

American Bankers Association will be the morning keynote speaker, where she will give

her perspective on how to elevate your career to the next level. Attendees will then have the

opportunity to attend one of our three breakout sessions. The first session will be on “Stress

and Our Perceptions” with Debra Singleton, Cigna. Determine whether your perception

of control is more internal or external. The better you are at managing your own stress, the

more you'll positively affect those around you, and the less other people's stress will

negatively affect you. Our second session will focus on “Fearless & Feminine in a Man’s

World: How to Get Further Faster (Without Feeling Pushy or Awkward!)” with Linda

Albright. The third break-out session will be “Millennials – 3 Tips for Financial Health”

with Barbara Carrollo-Loeffler, Dawn Scocco and Laura Huderwitz of Provident

Bank, where attendees will learn to create a budget, get out of debt and save for the future.

After our networking luncheon, attendees will attend a session on “Executive Presence:

Defining Yourself as a Leader” moderated by Margaret Lanning, OceanFirst Bank, along

with Angela Snyder, Chairwoman and CEO, Fulton Bank of New Jersey and In-coming

Chairwoman, New Jersey Bankers Association, Paula Mandell, M&T Bank and Marie

Dumas, East Tenth Group. The panel will discuss how women can learn to allow their

presence be known, through their leadership skills. Leaders are not born, they are made!

Following the panel will be a presentation on “Cyber Security” with Kevin Rietema,

Federal Bureau of Investigation. With all that is going on around us, it is imperative that

banks be aware of the various cyber threats they face on a daily basis. The day will conclude

with a presentation on “Resume to Reputation – Transforming your LikendIn Profile”.

Don’t dismiss the attention your LinkedIn account can get. It is a great destination to get

more visits based on your reputation.

GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY: This year the Women In Banking Conference

is proud to partner with The Center for Great Expectations. During the General Session,

Margaret Wright, of The Center for Great Expectation will discuss her journey that lead

her to form the center, which is a safe place, a safe presence and a safe path for homeless,

pregnant or parenting, adult women and adolescents, and their children to overcome, and

break, the destructive generational cycle of trauma, abuse, homelessness and addiction.

Please see page 8 for further details on how you can contribute to the Center during the
