  • • Explanation for Proposed Change: NFs are responsible for selectingand entering qualified Horses and Athletes. This includes the fitnessand capability of the Horses and the Athletes to participate in theCompetitions for which they are entered. It is the NF’s responsibilityto ensure that Horses and Athletes are of the required age for theEvent in which they are entered.

    • NF do not enter athletes/horses for Competitions, they enterathletes/horses for Event by Category CSI5*, CSI1*... For example: IfNF enters a child to take part at CSI1* (he can jump up to 135), and thecoach enters the child at 145 class how NF is responsible?

    • Proposal to change the Competitions with the Event / Category

IJOC Proposal: Art. 117 (and art. 251 Jumping Rules)

  • • Given all the comments received from NFs, the FEI agreed to amendthe provision as suggested by IJOC and the EEF. As it seems that theconcern is mainly in Jumping, the FEI Board tasked the JumpingCommittee to look into the matter as part of the next full revision ofthe FEI Jumping Rules in order to find a suitable solution regardingthe entries/selection of the Horses and the Athletes for theCompetitions.

  • 2021 Eventing Rules proposals

  • Note to NFs:Annex D’s contents have been rearranged for ease of reading. The newly introduced requirements are identified as such in notes instead of footnotes:

    1) Advanced Medical Response Team 2) Appointment of an event CMO 3) Response time requirements for Advanced and Standard Medical Teams to an incident

It is suggested that Annex D be considered as a recommendation for two years before being implemented as mandatory.Feedback in regard to the implementation will be reviewed by the Eventing Committee together with the Medical Committee to understand any issues with the implementation as well as how NFs with less events can be supported to reach the guidelines’ standard.
