Listening Tour

• Purpose: “To listen and to learn…and figure out together how best to leverage the strength of our campus and broader communities.” –Chancellor Cantor

• Coordinated with all units– Schools, colleges, academic and instructional

units, student leaders and organizations, centers and institutes

Charrette groups

• “Our greatest asset is the diversity of perspectives we bring to this work.” –Chancellor Cantor

• Concept: bring diverse group together over a series of meetings to– Define challenges– Propose means to address them

• “We’re designing a better university. How can we do that?” –Clem Price

Charrette groups: Specifics

• Series of three meetings– February 17 to March 7– one per week for three weeks– held at the same time each week – in accord with class schedules (90 minutes)

• Common set of readings and guiding questions for all groups

• Facilitator and scribe for each group• Goal is to have mix of students, faculty, staff in each group• Sign up through the online site: Doodle poll
