1st session
1st session in the morning was conducted by Dr. Krishna, He gave us brief
introduction about MBA course and fields, he included all the information related to MBA
and also spoke about how management course plays imported role in each and every
person’s life. He spoke to us about how to proceed & Focus our MBA Programme.
He also told us that education is not only the way of achieving goals. , If we don’t have education qualification even though we can achieve our goals & achievements without management skills as we have examples of BILLGATES & Dhirubhai Ambani
He advised us to read the famous books relating to Management Skills1. One minute manager by Kenneth H. Blanchard & Spencer Johnson2. Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephan R. Covey3. Top Performance by Zig Ziglar4. In search of Excellence by Tom Peter
2nd session
2nd session of pre-lunch period was conducted by our RVIM Director Dr. T. V. Raju. They addressed the Information of MBA Programme to 16th Batch of MBA Students 2014-16
He explained us the rules & regulations of the college. Told we must follow them strictly in the college campus. He also told us that we must actively participate in the extra co-circular activities that are conducted in the college or different fests. He explained the dress code of boys as well as girls followed in the R. V. Institute of Management. They said the programs which under go in next 2 years in RVIM.
3rd session
This session of post-lunch was conducted by the professors and assistant professors of R. V. Institute of Management
They introduced themselves & told subjects they are specialized and Introduction of All the Departments, Rules & Regulations of the college.

1st Session
Communication Skills-I:
In the first session was conducted by Jayapriya mam gave us a brief and clear idea
about the communication skills and also how we can improve our communication skills
and overcome our difficulties, and also some beautiful & important points such as "what
you know is important, but how you communicate is even more important".
After this session, I have idea how i can improve my communication skills and what all i
need to do, to improve. When there is an improved efficiency in communication then it is
directly proportional to the quality of our performance & it makes the ideas easy to be
passed to observer.
2nd Session
Communication Skills-II :
Communication- it is unavoidable necessity from birth to death. It's all about "5W & 1H"
5W & 1H::
WHO, WHOM, WHAT, WHERE/WHEN, WHY & HOW
Need of communication:
*Patience, Listening skills.
*Content to be organized, Feedback.
*Action.

After this session, i have come to know about this 5W & 1H.
Who-The communicator: only the appropriate person should communicate. There are
limits for each person & he/she should realize it.
Whom-Receiver, make sure that the message is going to right person. Understand the
need of person to whom you are communicating.
What-The message, it should be clear and unambiguous. It should be brief as possible.
Avoid the Chinese Whisper.
When-Appropriate time & place is very important. Inappropriate timings is not only
wrong but can also be disastrous, not to fail to remember the right thing at the right time.
Why-there are many reasons for this, such as , to exchange the information , to know
the content in a better way, knowledge etc.,
How-communicate in a pleasant way, even an unpleasant truth should be communicate
in an acceptable way. Believe in what we say, own up your statement & stand by them.
3rd Session
Presentation Skills:
This session was conducted by jayapriya mam gave a brief introduction about the
presentation & its skills. Skill is anything that is developed by practice. Three things that
matters in presentation/ speech- Who says it, How it is said, What is said.

In the Presentation 3 important things must be included;
1. Introduction
-Greet the audience, introduction of self.
-Introduce presentation, the purpose & objective.
2. Body ( main presentation)
-State points clearly
-Pause, give audience time to take key information.
-Invite Questions.
3. conclusion
-Summaries/ recap contents of presentation.
-Thank audience for the patience hearing.

Creativity-I
The Morning session was actively conducted by Mr. Vivekanandda has given an idea
what is Creativity, how to be creative. How creativity is applied in our life, how important
creativity is.
After this session, I have come to know that Creativity is nothing but "Thinking out of
box, do not miss clues, think in all the angles."Avoid assumption" & read and
understand the conditions.
Creativity:
*It is a quality that one brings into work.
*Creativity is also the way of looking at & doing things differently.
*Creativity is all about having more options for a given solution.

3rd Session
Creativity innovation & Enterprise:
In this session, we came to know about the Market Strategy, marketing idea and
generating ideas.
"Curiosity & enthusiasm is mother of creativity".
Difference between event and process.
Event- be in mind for shorter period of time.
Process- For a longer duration of time.
With the help of this session, I learned lot of things about creativity;
-Creativity is a process or time.
-Looking a problem from different perspective.
-Try/ Experiment new ideas.
Creativity also helps in learning.
More the involvement , more the options. Love whatever we do becomes creativity.

Change Management:
In this session , we discussed about the objectives , necessity for change.
The objectives:
-To understand that change is natural.
-Proactive management of change in life.
-How to acknowledge, enjoy & be part of change.

1st Session
This session of morning was taken by Mrs. Sheela Rao of ACT Team they explained us how
do we use brain storming of various ideas in our mind
Brain storming help us to solve many problems by free association of mind thinking many
solutions on the idea’s
Mrs. Sheela Rao gave an individual task to everyone.
Words that we can on OCEAN
The words added to OCEAN i.e.
Sea, Deep, Waves, Beach, Fish, Vast, Boat, Water,
Ships, sky diving, tsunami & Floods etc.
Mrs. Sheela Rao Explained us how we use one word into many idea’s as this helps to think
more & don’t give up our hopes on Critical situations
Important take ways of this session is that i came to know that for every problem there is more
than one solution. only thing is we have to work on that. Brain stormed is the one which
everybody do in their daily life , only thing is we will not come to know

The pre-lunch session was conducted by Mrs. Sheela Rao on the topic of CRITICAL
THINKINGS
Meaning of Critical Thinking
Critical thinking is an art of Analyzing & evaluating thinking with a view to improving it.
Critical thinking is that mode of thinking — about any subject, content, or problem. Critical
thinking is self-directed, self-disciplined, self-monitored, and self-corrective thinking.
Skills that improve in Critical Thinking
Which the thinker improves the quality of his or her thinking by skillfully analyzing,
assessing, and reconstructing it.
Critical thinking is a habit of mind characterized by comprehensive exploitation of
issues, idea’s, artic rafts
Thinks open-mindedly within alternative systems of thought, recognizing and
assessing, as needs be, their assumptions, implications, and practical consequence.
Gathers and assesses relevant information, using abstract ideas to interpret it
effectively.

Critical v/s Creative Thinking:
Critical Thinking - Linear and serial , more structural, more rational and analytical & more
goal-oriented.
Creative Thinking - Holistic and parallel , more emotional and intertie, more creative , more
imagination & curious , divergent playfulness.
There was a discussion on Emotional Intelligence, which is nothing but " the capacity for
recognising our own feelings & those of others , for motivating ourselves and for managing
emotions well in our relationships. emotional intelligence describes abilities distinct from but
complementary to academic intelligence.
Emotional is a complex psychological that involves 3 distinct components:
*Subjective
*physiological
*behavioural experience.
Imported take ways from this session: At certain situation , how i will react , and how i should
react plays an important role. Before knowing anything else , first we should know our self ,
how i react, what i talk , what i feel, what is my strength and weakness etc.,
Important points to be remembered is that: Perceiving emotions, reasoning with emotions,
understanding emotions, managing emotions. So Do self-evaluation, identify SWAT, take
responsibility of our actions, how our action affect others, examine how we react to stressful
situation.

There were some competitions held by management fest committee ;
1. Mad adds
2. Business Idea
3. Print adds
4. One Minute Manager
All of the above activities were very interesting, creative and completely different from one
another.
I wish i would take part in all the activities, but due to less time duration each student can
participate in only 2 activity/ competition. So, i have taken part in Mad ads & in One minute
manager.
I thoroughly enjoyed both activity, and I have to say this, that i learned lot of things from these
activities and had a very good experience. & i hope in future (coming days) i look to
participate in more and more activities/ events.

Defining Success:
Success: It not a chance but a projection of an organized efforts. It differs from a person o
person but success is an object for a society.
What is Success?
*Wealth?
*Power?
*Physical strength?
*Fame?
"SUCCESS is what is there with us for a longer period of time." Anyone who leaves the mark
is successful people, like Gandhi Ji, Wilma Rudolph, Vivekananda .,
Success is not what we get, it is the one we give to society. how much we give back , people
will remember you more.

Values of & for Leadership:
Leader: A leader has to carry some Attitude. leader must have the courage to face problems/
crises , he/she should be responsible, motivational, patience , etc.,
"For any leader Attitude is very Important".
Values & Attitude:
A set of desirable behaviour by following which it is good for individual and for the society.
Anything done over a period of time - value.
But, Always the Process must be given important than comes the Person.
"True leader creates some more leaders"
leaders should be able to see fore see thing/ future., motivates the team.,
Important take ways from this session :
what all qualities the leader should have , such as, Listening others point of view (i.e team
mates)
win their hearts , be flexible , but take final decision. Now a days the leader has to be
Transparent , fair , and work along the team.
For a leader, Organisation, family, persons (manager, faculty, father, mother etc,.) & love and
affection also and must matters, there must be a balance life between personal & professional
then the leader can be more flexible and open to think.

People can change only with love & affection, Patience.

Expectation may also lead to loss, because it causes some pressure , anger, frustration etc.,
It's almost everybody haves' it, it's just need to be controlled over the emotions. and most

him/her a leader" .

Examples of leadership / Ethics in management:
In this session we looked some of the examples of leader and brief introduction about them.
Lord Krishna , Sir M Visvesvaraya , Gandhi Ji, Swami Vivekananda , Dr, A P J Abdul kalam,
Dr. Satish Dhavan, Nelson Mandela and many more.,
We were given some task or a research by dividing into groups. find out the leadership
qualities in that paper work research, and then present it. overall it was a very good and
enjoyable session.
Over all, I had a very good experience and lot of opportunities to overcome some of my
doubts & difficulties. I am looking forward for such kind of session over and over again.
