MASS DURING THE YELLOW PHASE Our experience of gathering for Mass will be very different from what we were used to before the pandemic hit. But, this time of prayer together can be very uplifting for everyone if we all observe the directives that have been set forth for us from the State of Pennsylvania, from the Diocese of Harrisburg, and as discussed by the Parish Staff. We appreciate your cooperation. When deciding on whether to attend Mass at Church, please choose in favor of the common good by remaining at home if you show any symptoms of illness.
Sunday Mass – our Yellow Phase Weekend Mass Schedule
Saturdays at 4:00 PM
Sundays at 7:30 AM, 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM We will continue to livestream Mass, with a much better-quality picture, from
Brindle Hall on Saturdays at 6:00 PM until our recording equipment is in place in the Church. This will be ASL interpreted. This Mass will then be posted for on-demand viewing.
We will livestream each weekend Mass from the Church from the choir loft for
those who prefer a real-time experience but are unable to attend at the Church. The celebrant will continue to lead the Act of Spiritual Communion at every Mass.
Because our large Church needs to be sanitized after each Mass, we are still
looking for volunteers to assist. The Knights of Columbus are leading this effort. You do not have to be a Knight to assist. Please contact Warren Stephens at [email protected] if you are healthy enough to assist.
Until we have this part of our routine in order, we will not be opening the Church
throughout the week except for special liturgies, such as funerals, weddings and baptisms. Weekday Mass Monday through Friday will be livestreamed from Brindle Hall at 8:00 AM until further notice.
Drive-Thru Confessions Saturdays from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Other Considerations to Assist in Your Decision Regarding Your Sunday Mass Attendance: Bishop Gainer’s dispensation from the Sunday obligation to attend Mass remains in effect until further notice. Public Masses are allowed as long as social distancing and proper sanitation is

observed. Parish buildings may contain no more than 1/3 occupancy at any given time. Entrance into the Church will be on a first come, first serve basis. The doors will have to close once we reach capacity. You are invited to follow the Mass on one of the social platforms from your car. The priests will make Holy Communion available outside the Church, at the front portico, once they are finished with distribution inside the Church.
Entrance to the general public will only be at one set of center doors. You will receive directions on when to enter, and where to sit.
Our more able-bodied parishioners are asked to park in the school parking lot, so that those with mobility issues can park closer to the one entrance to the Church in the parking lot at the front of the Church.
All parishioners attending Mass must wear a face mask. Masks may only be removed when receiving Holy Communion. (The American Disabilities Act allows for some exceptions to this rule, for those who are not physically able to wear a face mask).
Holy Water fonts will remain empty.
Hand sanitizing stations will be positioned throughout the Church.
All hymnals, missals, missalettes and printed literature have been removed. You will be given a printed worship aid upon entering the Church, and you must then take this with you when leaving the Church.
Hearing assisted devices will not be available.
Restrooms are available for emergencies only.
The Sign of Peace will continue to be omitted.
Holy Communion will be distributed after Mass. We recommend that Holy Communion be received on the hand, but no one will be denied Holy Communion if receiving on the tongue. Please be advised that if there is any inadvertent contact whatsoever between the priest and the communicant, the priest must interrupt distribution of Holy Communion, and sanitize his hands by using hand sanitizer that will be available on a table next to him.
You will notice that tape and rope are being used inside the Church to indicate proper social distancing, especially for when you come forward for Holy Communion. Communion will be distributed from the front to the back, according to sections. You will need to depart from the Church immediately after receiving Communion. Please make your thanksgiving on the way to your car, and inside your car. Families can take advantage of having a prayer together once inside your cars, before you depart.
Again, your continued prayers and patience are very much appreciated as we work to make the liturgy and sacraments as available and as meaningful as possible during these unusual and unprecedented times. God bless!

ⴕ THE LITURGY OF THE WORD First Reading • Acts of the Apostles 2:1-11 When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim. Now there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven staying in Jerusalem. At this sound, they gathered in a large crowd, but they were confused because each one heard them speaking in his own language. They were astounded, and in amazement they asked, “Are not all these people who are speaking Galileans? Then how does each of us hear them in his native language? We are Parthians, Medes, and Elamites, inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the districts of Libya near Cyrene, as well as travelers from Rome, both Jews and converts to Judaism, Cretans and Arabs, yet we hear them speaking in our own tongues of the mighty acts of God.” The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.

Responsorial Psalm • Psalm 104:1, 24, 29-30, 31, 34
Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord, my God, you are great indeed! How manifold are your works, O Lord! The earth is full of your creatures. R̷
If you take away their breath, they perish and return to their dust. When you send forth your spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the earth. R̷ May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord be glad in his works! Pleasing to him be my theme; I will be glad in the Lord. R̷
Second Reading • 1 Corinthians 12:3b-7, 12-13 Brothers and sisters: No one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit. As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body, so also Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and we were all given to drink of one Spirit. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.

Gospel • John 20-19:23 The Lord be with you. And with your spirit. A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke. Glory to you, O Lord. On the evening of that first day of the week, when the doors were locked, where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.” The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Church cleaning assistance needed on Sundays One of the requirements for our church while we are in the yellow phase combating the COVID-19 is to sanitize the church in between each Mass. The Knights of Columbus are coordinating our sanitizing teams, which should only take about a half hour after Mass is over if we have enough volunteers. If interested in assisting with this effort please email Warren Stevens at [email protected] You do not have to be affiliated with the Knights of Columbus to assist with this effort. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
A FAMILY ACT OF THANKSGIVING AFTER RECEIVING HOLY COMMUNION
This prayer can be recited in your car, or on the way to your car, after your family receives Holy Communion, led by a designated member of the family:
O good Jesus,
We thank You with all our hearts for giving us Yourself,
the Source of all graces, in Holy Communion. We thank You for all the blessings that we have received from You,
especially through the Holy Eucharist, in which You are ever present to console us
and to help us in our needs.
In thanksgiving of all Your favors, We offer You all that we are and have.
May Your Will be done in our family and through each of us now and forever.
Recited together:
Jesus, receive this poor offering. What can I give you?
I give myself to You, that I may always serve You. I give You my body, that it may be chaste and pure.
I give You my soul, that it may be free from sin. I give You my heart, that it may always love You. I give You every breath that I shall breathe, and
especially my last; I give You myself in life and in death, that I may be
Yours forever and glorify You eternally. AMEN.
