Phuel S-BoxPhuel introduces the next generation of stuffing box by dispensing with conventional thinking and
delivering significant improvements in handling, operation and performance.The result is not only the
most distinctive stuffing box on the market but also the safest and easiest to use.
The lightweight wheel assembly can be
simply removed, leaving the housing
still attached to the lubricator.This
simplifies the handling weight during
rigging and lifting operations.
The sheave wheel is mounted onto a
lightweight bracket that completely
encompasses the wheel, preventing
accidental finger traps while handling.
Spring-loaded locking pins keep the
wire on the wheel while reducing to a
minimum the effort needed to load and
unload the wire. A lifting point is also
provided to allow the assembly to be
lifted vertically off the test stump with
ease.
The packing no longer comprises
individual units that are time
consuming to remove and replace.
Instead Phuel provides a helicut packing
stick that is automatically pumped out
with piston pressure when the packing
sub is removed. Reassembly is as easy
just attach it and release the
pressure.The time required to redress is
dramatically reduced and, with the
helicut, it can easily be changed, even
with the wire present!
Finally, the seal housing can be
removed quickly from the housing for
easier lubricator string rigging and
handling.There is full bore clearance
through the housing for the tool string
to be inserted or removed, even when
using roller stem. Another significant
time saver!
