Pre-planning with the drilling fluids company is paramount in importance to dealing with issues related to tight hole conditions. The tight hole condition must be identified and remedied promptly in order to prevent further hole issues from Loss of returns Consult with mud company for specifics, pre- planning for losses is required. HAZARD: Hydrophilic formations Reduce fluid loss in the drilling fluid and consider adding inhibitive chemicals. Connections should be “worked” by reciprocating and rotating the drill string and circulating bottoms at each connection. HAZARD: Shallow Gas Diverter being utilized allowing shut in and circulation of gas influx. A minimum of 500 bbl of 10ppg kill mud must be mixed and readily available for the purpose of dynamic well control in the event shallow gas is encountered. 1. Mobilize rig to location. Rig up and prepare to spud. 2. Rig up over 30” Conductor pre-set to ~40 m 3. Install 30” diverter and leak test 4. Drill 26” surface hole 0 to +/- 800m KB 5. Run and cement 20” surface casing 6. Install and test casing bowl, wellhead Section-A. Install and pressure test 18 ¾” 15k BOP stack. 7. Pressure test surface casing. Drill out shoe track and 3 m of new 18 ½” hole. Perform LOT. 8. Drill 18 ½” intermediate hole to a total depth of +/- 1500 mKB, and Run wireline logs as per logging program. 9. Open 18.1/2" hole to 20" using under-reamer BHA. 10. Run and cement 16” intermediate casing. 11. Lift BOPs. Install and test casing spool, wellhead Section-B. Install and pressure test 18 ¾” 15k psi BOP stack. 12. Pressure test 16” intermediate casing. Run and cement 9 5/8” x 9 7/8” combination casing as per casing running program. 21. Lift BOPs. Install and test casing spool, wellhead Section-D. Install and pressure test 15k psi BOP stack. 22. Pressure test 9.5/8" X 9.7/8" casing. Drill out shoe track and 3m of new 8 ½” hole. Perform LOT/FIT (18.5 ppg). 24. Drill 8 ½” hole to basement, estimated at approximately +/- 5000 m KB. 25. Run open hole logs as per logging program. 26. Run and cement 7” production liner. 27. Run in drill pipe and casing / liner clean out assembly, circulate out cement and run to bottom. 28. Run CBL logs to establish zonal isolation. 29. Run Casing Inspection Log within 9.5/8" X 9.7/8" casing to prove integrity. 30. Run Packer, perform positive and negative pressure test on 7" liner hanger. 31. Displace the cased hole to clean inhibited water. 32. Circulate the hole clean and pull out. 33. Run and Install 9.5/8" retrievable bridge plug. HAZARD: Time dependent shale formations Try and drill the entire shale with one bit run. Reduce trip speeds through the shale, especially when the collars and bit are moving through the shale zone. Trip speeds should be capped so surge and swab pressures do not exceed the current ECD while drilling. Consider adding ROP enhancer additives designed for drilling shales (usually a specially designed lubricant). Ensure the potassium salt concentration within current targets (55,000 mg/l for this well). HAZARD: Acid Gasses CO2 Monitor suspected CO2 zones with Garrett Gas Train (GGT) tests. Maintain mud weight overbalanced. Add lime for pH control. Hole collapse and pack off Action is required immediately to reduce chances of getting stuck. The well should be swept with high viscosity sweeps while working and rotating the pipe. Wiper trip the hole prior to drilling ahead. Mud properties should be adjusted to help clean the hole. Do not continue to drill ahead until the situation is resolved. HAZARD: Acid Gasses H2S Run a HACH sulfide test (or equivalent) every 1-2 hours while the drilling fluid is being circulated while drilling possible H2S zones. Run a Garret Gas Train (GGT) once per tour or immediately if there is a positive or inconclusive HACH test. Any positive GGT readings should be dealt with immediately with drilling fluid additions of hydrogen sulfide scavengers and/or weighting up as required. Close consultation with the drilling fluid company and the drilling supervisor are important in order to be HAZARD: Hole pack-off / Stuck Pipe .Action is required immediately to reduce chances of getting stuck. The well should be swept with high viscosity sweeps while working and rotating the pipe. Wiper trip the hole prior to drilling ahead. Mud properties should be adjusted to help clean the hole. Do not continue to drill ahead until the situation is resolved. High drilled gas readings ACTION: High gas readings are background gas, gas shows, contamination gas and entrained gas. Try and identify the source of the high gas readings. Many times if the high gas readings are persistent then increase in mud density may be required to help control them and ease concerns over well Ballooning formation ACTION: Reduce the mud weight slightly so that the ECD of the fluid is about equal to the static mud weight of the mud column prior to the ballooning issue. Increase the inhibitive nature of the drilling fluid with additions of Amine inhibitors, sulphonated asphalts, or potassium salts (to a max of 55,000 mg/l). Ream the zone if required and especially after adding any High Pressures Monitoring the well closely while drilling and running casing in the zone. Proper trip speed limits to avoid swab. Increase mud weight and kill the well if required using wait and weight method. HAZARD: Extreme HTHP problems Mud coolers must be operational with heat sinks filled and ready to go. Solids control equipment (shakers and centrifuges) must be at peak operational readiness, low gravity solids should be < 4% v/v of the mud system and reactive solids < 2% v/v. Centrifuges must be in “barite recovery mode” for low gravity solids control. MBT test < 10 lb/bbl in the drilling fluid (dilution or disposal of fluid may be required to maintain this parameter) Only high temperature tools, bits and mud additives are to be used from 3000m and deeper. Real Time hydraulics shall be calculated and compared to PWD data. All trips (including wiper trips) will have controlled tripping speeds as directed by the Kakinada office to avoid surge and swab well control issues. Cement slurries shall be tested by the cement vendor and Annular / Diverter (psi) Annular / Diverter (psi) Ram (psi) Ram (psi) 1000 N/A N/A N/A N/A N/A 10000 2000 15000 4000 10000 5000 15000 8000 10000 5000 15000 10000 10000 5000 15000 12000 10000 5000 15000 12000 Casing Prrssure Test (psi) N/A 30" Casing Shoe LOT / FIT (ppg) Test Pressures Rated BOP Working Pressure Casing Size (In) BOP & Casing Pressure Testing Schedule LOT 1500 20" N/A 7000 7" LOT / FIT (18.5 ppg) 5500 9.5/8" x 9.7/8" LOT 2500 16" LOT 4000 13.5/8" KG-15 KG-16 KG-21 KLAA YS-5-1A MMD-1 KKP-1 TLK-1 DNG-1 BST-1 Rig Floor ## BOP Stack-Up Schematic For Drilling 26" hole ## Rig Floor ## BOP Stack-Up Schematic For Drilling 18.½UR 20" hole ## ## ## ## ## Rig Floor ## BOP Stack-Up Schematic For Drilling 14.¾UR 16" hole ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## Rig Floor ## BOP Stack-Up Schematic For Drilling 12.1/4" hole and contingent 10.5/8" hole ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## Tubing Head: FMC TCM-ET Upper Flange: 11" 15K PSI Ring Gasket: BX-158 Lower Flange: 13 5/8" 15K PSI Ring Gasket: BX-159 Tubing Hanger: 27.50" [699] 28.00" [711] 30.92" [785] Casing Spool: FMC C-29 Upper Flange: 21 1/4" 10K PSI Ring Gasket: BX-166 Lower Flange: 21 1/4" 5K PSI Ring Gasket: BX-165 Casing Hanger: 13.5/8" C-121-S Studded Bottom Casing Type: Conductor Casing Size: 30.0" Casing Thread: Welded Casing Type: Surface Casing Size: 20" Casing Material: J-55 Casing Weight: 118.5lb/ft Casing Thread: CT Detachable Base Plate: FMC Bottom Seat: 30" Top Seat: 20" Table Beams Rig Floor Casing Head: FMC C-29 Upper Flange: 21 1/4" 5K PSI Ring Gasket: BX-165 Lower Flange: 20" Slip-Lock Casing Hanger: 16" C-121-S 129.57" [3291] Table Beams 11.00" [279.4] Rig Mat = 6" 450" [11430] 8.78" [223] Rig Beam Rig Beam Rig Beam Rig Beam 120.00" [3048] 84.00" [2134] 120. HAZARD: Tight hole / connections ACTION: Specific hole issues that cause the tight hole need to be identified quickly. Pre-planning with the drilling fluids company is paramount in importance to dealing with issues related to tight hole conditions. The tight hole condition must be identified and remedied promptly in order to prevent further hole issues from

HAZARD: Loss of returns ACTION: Consult with mud company for specifics, pre-planning for losses is required.

HAZARD: Hydrophilic formations ACTION: Reduce fluid loss in the drilling fluid and consider adding inhibitive chemicals. Connections should be “worked” by reciprocating and rotating the drill string and circulating bottoms at each connection.

HAZARD: Shallow Gas ACTION: Diverter being utilized allowing shut in and circulation of gas influx.

Install and

pressure test 18 ¾” 15k BOP stack. 7. Pressure test surface casing. Drill out shoe track and 3 m of

new 18 ½” hole. Perform LOT. 8. Drill 18 ½” intermediate hole to a total depth of +/- 1500 mKB,

and Run wireline logs as per logging program.

9. Open 18.1/2" hole to 20" using under-reamer BHA.

10. Run and cement 16” intermediate casing. 11. Lift BOPs. Install and test casing spool,

wellhead Section-B. Install and pressure test 18 ¾” 15k psi BOP stack.

12. Pressure test 16” intermediate casing. Drill out shoe track and 3 m of 14 ¾” hole. Perform LOT.

13. Drill 14 ¾ ” hole with 16” under reamer assembly to planned total depth +/- 2800 m KB.

14. Run wireline logs as per logging program. 15. Run and cement 13 5/8” casing.

16. Lift BOPs. Install and test casing spool, wellhead Section-C. Install and pressure test 15k psi BOP stack.

17. Pressure test 13 5/8” intermediate casing. Drill out shoe track and 3 m of 12 ¼” hole. Perform LOT.

18. Drill 12 ¼” hole to +/- 4000 m KB. 19. Run open hole logs as per logging program. 20. Run and cement 9 5/8” x 9 7/8” combination casing as per casing running program. 21. Lift BOPs. Install and test casing spool, wellhead Section-D. Install and pressure test 15k psi

BOP stack. 22. Pressure test 9.5/8" X 9.7/8" casing. Drill out shoe track and 3m of new 8 ½” hole. Perform

LOT/FIT (18.5 ppg).

24. Drill 8 ½” hole to basement, estimated at approximately +/- 5000 m KB. 25. Run open hole logs as per logging program. 26. Run and cement 7” production liner. 27. Run in drill pipe and casing / liner clean out assembly, circulate out cement and run to

bottom.

HAZARD: Time dependent shale formations ACTION: Try and drill the entire shale with one bit run.

HAZARD: Acid Gasses CO2 ACTION: Monitor suspected CO2 zones with Garrett Gas Train (GGT) tests. Maintain mud weight overbalanced. Add lime for pH control.

HAZARD: Hole collapse and pack off ACTION: Action is required immediately to reduce chances of getting stuck. The well should be swept with high viscosity sweeps while working and rotating the pipe. Wiper trip the hole prior to drilling ahead. Mud properties should be adjusted to help clean the hole. Do not continue to drill ahead until the situation is resolved.

HAZARD: Acid Gasses H2S ACTION: Run a HACH sulfide test (or equivalent) every 1-2 hours while the drilling fluid is being circulated while drilling possible H2S zones. Run a Garret Gas Train (GGT) once per tour or immediately if there is a positive or inconclusive HACH test. Any positive GGT readings should be dealt with immediately with drilling fluid additions of hydrogen sulfide scavengers and/or weighting up as required. Close consultation with the drilling fluid company and the drilling supervisor are important in order to be

HAZARD: Hole pack-off / Stuck Pipe ACTION: .Action is required immediately to reduce chances of getting stuck. The well should be swept with high viscosity sweeps while working and rotating the pipe. Wiper trip the hole prior to drilling ahead. Mud properties should be adjusted to help clean the hole. Do not continue to drill ahead until the situation is resolved.

HAZARD: High drilled gas readings ACTION: High gas readings are background gas, gas shows, contamination gas and entrained gas. Try and identify the source of the high gas readings. Many times if the high gas readings are persistent then increase in mud density may be required to help control them and ease concerns over well

HAZARD: Ballooning formation ACTION: Reduce the mud weight slightly so that the ECD of the fluid is about equal to the static mud weight of the mud column prior to the ballooning issue. Increase the inhibitive nature of the drilling fluid with additions of Amine inhibitors, sulphonated asphalts, or potassium salts (to a max of 55,000 mg/l). Ream the zone if required and especially after adding any

HAZARD: High Pressures ACTION: Monitoring the well closely while drilling and running casing in the zone. Proper trip speed limits to avoid swab. Increase mud weight and kill the well if required using wait and weight method.

HAZARD: Extreme HTHP problems ACTION: Mud coolers must be operational with heat sinks filled and ready to go. Cement slurries shall be tested by the cement vendor and
