Computer center with instructor was provided to LingdokPublic. This was inaugurated by Hon'ble MinisterSh.T.T.BhutiaFund of Rs. 10 Lacs was granted for construction Watersupply line at Ramthang village For construction of Water supply line at phodong village, anamount of Rs.15 lacs was given Construction of temple at Tumin area, Dikchu was carried outfor an amount of Rs. 4.6 LacsFund of Rs.10 lacs in 2 installments ie as Rs.4 lacs and Rs.6lacs was contributed for construction of Gumpa at Tanekvillage Renovation works were taken up at Chemistry Lab ofGovernment Girls Senior Secondary School, Deorali, Gangtokcosting to about Rs. 3.5 lacs.Equipments like Heater, Water Filter & Fire ExtinguishersCylinders etc., were supplied to Dikchu Primary HealthCentre for an approximate cost of Rs. 20,000/- Cleanliness and sanitations works were carried out at ourvarious project locations under the scheme named ‘SWACHHBHARAT ABHIYAN – 2014’. This was actively participatedboth by Employees and LocalsRepair works were taken up at various locally availablegovernment establishments such as schools,Healthcentres/GPU. In addition to this, at government school weeven carried out construction of wash rooms.

Not only provided finanicial help during earth quake but alsosupplied many construction materials to locals such ascement, aggregate etc.Renovation works were taken up at Panchayat Bhawan,Phudong, North Sikkim costing to about Rs. 1 lac. Work donecertificate is as enclosed - Enclosure 1Construction of foot path Adit-II to Lower Rongong, Phudong,North Sikkim was carried out for an amount of Rs. 4.35 lacs

Repair works were taken up at Foot Bridge at Lingdok overDikchu River, costing to Rs. 1.38 lacs.Construction material such as cement/sand/ aggregate andCGI sheets etc. provided for GUMPA, Mandir,Church and Govt.Schools, at Lingdok/Tanek/ Dikchu/Phudong costing toabout. 30 lacs Equipments like Heater, Water Filter & Blankets etc., weresupplied to Phodong Primary Health Centre for anapproximate cost of Rs. 10,000/- Construction of RCC foot Bridge at Tanek village, NorthSikkim was carried out for an amount of Rs. 4 lacs

The total budget of Rs. 55.75lakhs for fishery development and conservation should notbe diverted for any other purpose

The proposed afforestation programme in double ofdegrad forest area of 15.6ha (10ha in north & 5.6 in Eastdistricts) using native plant species are identified for thisafforestation programme should be strictly implemented.Necessary forest clearance under Forest(conservation)Act, 1980 should be obtained in this regard

Part - B: General conditions

i)Adequate free fuel arrangement should be made for thelabour force engaged in the construction work at projectcost so that indiscriminate felling of trees is

The Multi disciplinary committee has already beenconstitued by Sikkim government for our project. Thenotification regarding the same was issued on 18/8/2014,we have requested the committee for conducting the meetingASAP vide letter dated 22/04/15

vii) Six monthly monitoring reports should be submitted to the Ministry and its Regional office, Shillong for review Being Complied

The proposed green belt within the 39.1ha of the projectarea along the network of approach roads, residentialareas, office complex, dam site, around the periphery of thereservoir should be strictly adhered and also proposed in-situ /ex - situ conservation of Orchids and take uprehahilitation of these species along the road from Rangpoto Ranipool which are ideal places for rehabilitation shouldbe strictly implemented

Fuel depot may be opened at the site to provide the fuel(kerosen/LPG/wood). Medical facilities as well asrecreational facilities should be provided to the labourers

Ans. Yes, the main site in the project area is "GURDUNG". Its height is around 80 mts. The dam to be constructed will not have any impact on it as the water will flood up to 20 mts only. We have kept enough provision for the protection of the GURDUNG. Mr. M.M. Reddy, MD/SKPPL

As the said “Gurdung” is not affected by our project construction works; alternatively fund of Rs.17 lacs was provided construction of Phudong Gumpa. (which is nearing completion)

Q.25.Is there any provision of employment (technical & non-technical) for the local in your project? Shri. RamlalGurung, Lower Rakdong, Dikchu

Ans. As per MOU signed between the Developers and Sikkim Government; the first preference in employment will be given to the locals of affected areas then only will we float the Employment Notice for others. Mr. M.M. Reddy, M.D.SKPPL

Q.26. Is there any provision for construction of a community center at lower Rakdong? Shri.RamlalGurung, Lower Rakdong, Dikchu

Ans. Yes, we have a provision for constructing a community center but the place will be finalized only after the discussion with common people and area MLA. I am also planning to have a milk collection centre in consultation with Sikkim Milk Union. Mr. M.M. Reddy, M.D.SKPPL

In place of Community Centre, Computer Training centerwith Instructor has been provided at Dikchu which was inaugurated by our Honorable Power Minister, Sh. Sonam Gyesto

Q.27.Do you have any provision to construct the road between Dikchu to Lingdok 9th mile? Shri. RamlalGurung, Lower Rakdong, Dikchu

Ans. No, so far we do not have any provision for the construction of these roads will not be of that much importance for the project. On top of that acquiring the land for the road, construction of bridges and control of slides will add a huge cost to the project. Mr. M.M. Reddy, M.D.SKPPL

Q.47. Is there any provision for construction of crematory shed and footpath leading to the same? Shri. UdayRai, PanchayatLingdok.

As per the demand received from Lingdok Panchayat; the construction of crematory works is in progress

Q.51. Will the Company constructs an additional building within Lingdok 9th mile PHSC? Public of Nampong block, Dikchu

Ans. We do not have such provision now, but we will help in strengthening some of the dispensaries around the project site. Mr. M.M. Reddy, M.D.SKPPL

Construction of additional building is in progress. In addition to this, material for strengthening of existing Lingdok PHC building is already given
