Earth DayWednesday 22 nd April

2020Earth Day is about raising

awareness, about the importance of protecting our

planet and taking action.

This year is a particularly special year for our planet Earth. As we are all staying safe and staying well at home there have been lots of

reports about how Earth is healing itself. Some of the ways this is happening is because:

Less aeroplanes travelling in the sky so the air is clear of air pollution

People staying at home so wildlife has more freedom to grow and roam to new places

Boats are moored so canals, rivers and seas are becoming clearer

Whilst we may find it tricky staying indoors a lot, we can use this time to be thankful for our planet and to be proud that we are giving our Earth a chance to heal.

activities which you can take part in during your time at home.

Draw a picture of the Earth that God created for us and write a prayer. It can be a thanksgiving prayer, a healing prayer or any ideas or prayer which you have.
