Dates• Dates are really important in history and you need

to know how they work• A date will either have BC after the number or AD in

front of the number• What do you think BC and AD mean? Write the

answers in your jotters• BC means Before Christ and refers to the years

before Jesus was born• AD is a Latin term meaning Anno Domini and means

the Year of our Lord and refers to the years after Jesus was born
