Greetings:

Welcome to this Business Management School! This course is designed to help you

speak English/American and understand English spoken by people of different nationalities.

We will listen to native speakers, read articles from English/American newspapers and

magazines, and of course, study grammar and vocabulary throughout the year. You will have

the opportunity to build on and develop your language skills and use them as much as

class participation). Hopefully you will find this course challenging and fun.

Grading:

Participation: essential to learning a language. Practice makes perfect and while

practicing we make many mistakes so don’t be afraid of making mistakes when you speak.

This includes participating in class, roleplay, individual mini presentations and homework .

Tests: There will be 3 short tests (Weeks 3, 5 & 8) to check your understanding of

grammar points, phrases & vocabulary covered. All vocabulary from handouts, exercises,

words written on the board, etc. can be included.

Group Presentations: 2 group presentations: a product advertisement & a news

broadcast

Evaluation:

40% = Final Exam

20% = 3 tests

20% = Participation

20% = Group presentations (each group presentation will be evaluated according to the following scale – 70% content, 20% presentation, 10% peer evaluation)

view and to master the language tools necessary to obtain a score of 750 minimum on the

TOEIC test.
