Academics
Scheduling and Registration
• Two 8-week consecutive terms make up one semester:
– 2020 Fall 1: August 31-October 25th
– 2020 Fall 2: October 26 – December 20th
• The Student Services team will register you for the full semester
once courses have opened for enrollments.
• Check your SMUMN e-mail regularly for registration confirmation e-
mails and other important University communication
• You may opt out of a term by contacting your Student Services
Specialist prior to the start of the term.

Academic Policies
Failure to log in for 7 consecutive days without advance notice will result in being
Administratively Withdrawn.
• Minimum cumulative GPA is 3.0
• Grading: A, B, C, W, WF and NC
• Final grades will be posted in Student Portal within 14 days after the end of the term.
Academic Dishonesty
The most common forms of Academic Dishonesty are:
• Plagiarism
• Fabrication
• Abuse of Internet sources
• Cheating, lying and academic misconduct
The university reserves the right to revoke a degree if it discovers academic dishonesty that may have impacted the award of the degree initially.

Billing and Payment Policies
Billing, Payment, and Financial Aid
• Tuition is billed on the first day of class • Current term’s tuition is due on day 8: September 9th. • If payment is not received in full by due date, you will be
administratively dropped. – Students using tuition reimbursement have 30 days after the term
ends to pay. – Access billing notices in the Student Portal.
• Financial Aid is awarded two weeks after valid FAFSA and acceptance into Saint Mary’s. – Continue to check your SMUMN e-mail for important alerts! – Financial Aid is a FEDERAL LOAN
Payment Options
• Transfer funds electronically from your checking or savings account: FREE!
• Pay with a credit card: 2.75% service fee
Tuition Refund and Drops
• If you drop a class during the first Week, you will receive a 100% refund and a no “W” grade
– Drop requests must be emailed either to your
Enrollment Counselor or Student Services Specialist
• The amount of refund is less depending upon the
percentage of course completed. After Week 1, contact your Student Services Specialist regarding the consequences of dropping your course.
