Happy Teacher’s DayUdaipur : Our former President, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam has
beautifully said, “If you are a teacher in whatever capacity,
you have a very special role to play because more than any-
body else it is you who are shaping the future generation”.
Indeed, these words aptly highlight the significant role
bestowed upon a teacher to play in students’ life. Today, we
see the world changing day by day and our society is not
the same. There are paradigm changes in the segment of
education worldwide and these changes have also drasti-
cally influenced changes in the role of a teacher. Teaching
and learning process is also evolving and therefore teach-
ers cannot afford to remain attached to their old-fashioned
methods. Today, the teacher is called to be a facilitator and
a guide in the entire teaching-learning process.
With technology pervading the present education sys-
tem, teachers today are left with no other options other than
to equip themselves adequately. Teachers have to be vision-
aries, information and technology savvy to cope up with high
expectations of the students, with multiple tasks of teaching,
researching and being the resource persons in consonance
with the changing times. However, in this context, it is rel-
evant to remember what Bill Gates has beautifully stated,
“Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids work-
ing together and motivating them, the teacher is the most
important.” It is a teacher who can prepare our youth to face
the future with confidence, purpose and responsibility. I strong-
ly believe that while technology does its bit, teachers as facil-
itators add the desired human touch and instill values for
holistic development and uplift the essence of education.
September 5th, the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli
Radhakrishnan, is a special day that is dedicated to all our
beloved teachers to remember and thank them for their sac-
rifice for the humanity. On this day, one can look back, admire
and get inspired by the lives of teachers that have influenced
thousands of minds. In the present globalized world, the
youngsters are faced with lots of challenges. They need to
be instructed and inspired in order to reach their potential
growth and development. Today’s teacher has a tremen-
dous responsibility to reinvent her/himself to be able to assist
carefully every child helping them integrate their social, emo-
tional, and intellectual growth arousing their natural curios-
ity to develop a love for learning. On this teachers’ day, I
would like to leave you with what Dalai Lama has wonder-
fully said, “When educating the minds of our youth, we must
not forget to educate their hearts.”Wishing you a very Happy Teachers’ Day!
Teachers are God’s giftto Children
Pooja Bhandari : A teacher is one of the most wonderful
gifts from god to a child. S(he) is the representation of god.
Teacher is the one who trains people for democracy. The
teachers create the future lead-
ers and the rulers of the coun-
try. They are the backbone of
the nation. They are very hon-
est toward their duties. They are
much disciplined. They firmly
believe that hard work, sinceri-
ty, honesty, punctuality and con-
fidence are the key ingredients
for success. They can help build
up a country in several ways.
They can work in the villages to
root out social evils & superstations prevalent there. They
may educate the illiterate masses in the villages and make
them conscious of their rights and duties in a democratic set
up. Thus, they may inspire them to be good citizens.
If I were the teacher
The progress and smooth running of a school depends upon
its head. His job is very important and full of responsibility. He
has to seek the co-operation of the staff. He has to work for
the welfare of students. It I were a teacher I’d try my best to
make my school a model. If I were a teacher I’d prepare an
annual plan of teaching and written work for my class. I’d fre-
quently assess my teaching method and correct work of my
students. I would give them suggestions for the improvement.
I would arrange special coaching class for weak students.
The students do not make proper use of library and reading
room. I’d try to create reading habits among the students .
There is lack of morality among the citizens these day. I’d see
that the students of my class are morally sound. I would try to
teach them to be honest and truthful. I would encourage the
habits of punctuality and hard work. I’d pay special attention
to discipline and good behavior. I’d inspire the students to read
patriotic poems, stories and autobiographies of great men. I’d
see that the students have strong health. My class would not
lag behind in any literary and cultural activities. I hope I’d do
more for my class if I really were a teacher.
Adarsh Senior SecondarySchool Chansda listened PM
Udaipur : Following the instructions from Education
Department Government of Rajasthan, the students were
facilitated to listen to the Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra
Modi who addressed students nationwide at the eve of Teachers
day. Principal from Adarsh Senior secondary Chansda Tahsil
Girva told to the newsmen that 455 Students from class 1st
to class 11th were benefitted by watching TV. “Along with
students, elderly village people and parents were also pre-
sent to listen to Mr. Modi. People were enthusiastic to listen
to the PM and in the end, everyone had something as take-
away,” said Mrs. Sulekha Shrivastava, the principal.
Udaipur : Caterers known for
serving best food items at wed-
ding functions, birthday parties
or engagement ceremonies
came forward on Thursday
with a demand of limiting the
working hours of the catering
staff till 11 PM as against work-
ing for late hours.
On the occasion, Virendra
Bapna, Chief Convener of
Udaipur Catering Dealer’s
informed that media that a deci-
sion was made with the asso-
ciation that no catering staff will
work after 11 PM from 1st
November onward as working
late hours is affecting their
social lives. At times, they are
faced with police interrogation
as well while returning to their
houses at wee hours of the night.
Bapna while addressing
media about the major chal-
lenges faced by catering staff
highlighted that usually the
food for any social function is
prepared till 5 in the evening
and it is a difficult task to keep
it fresh till late hours. In few
cases the tastes change and
the organizers shout at the
catering staff for no reason. It
is also seen in many wedding
parties and functions that the
entire staff has to starve until
the family members have their
food. Moreover, the con-
veyance facility is also absent
in many cases.
The invitation to criminal
activities at late hours was also
a concern highlighted by Bapna
along with noise pollution prob-
lems created by loud noises and
fuel generators. Bapna at end
urged the city people to coop-
erate with the changes the
association is about to make
and be a part to make Udaipur
more beautiful and a peaceful
place to live.
