St. Vivian School 885 Denier Pl. Cincinnati, OH 45224
Sabers' Scoop FREE LUNCH UNTIL JANUARY St. Vivian has applied and received federal funding through the USDA’s Seamless Summer Option (SSO)
extension. This means EVERY STUDENT can receive hot breakfast and lunch at NO COST from now
through December! We have had great feedback from parents, teachers and students on how delicious the
hot lunches have been (THANK YOU KALDI’S CATERING!). Within the next month, families will receive
notification (mailed to main address on file) of their free and reduced application determination. Payment of
meals will resume after Christmas break. We are still having connectivity issues between Option C and K12
Payment Center. We will alert you when this has been resolved so that you will then be able to make break-
fast and lunch payments online, and know what your actual balances are. Anyone who was eligible for free
or reduced lunches will have it reflected in their accounts on the date the office received your application.
PICTURE DAY IS NEXT THURSDAY! Picture day envelopes/order forms will be sent home by Monday, September 14th. Please fill out and return
to school with your child by picture day. You may also order pictures online, please see the picture envelope
for online instructions. They will need to turn this in to the photographer when getting their picture taken.
Picture retake day is Thursday, November 5th.

Mercy McAuley’s Shadow Day registration is now open to 8th grade girls! On Shadow
Days, 8th grade guests will be placed into a small group of three or four 8th graders, and
they will remain with this small “Pack” throughout the day. Unlike in years past, they will
not follow one Mercy McAuley student the entire day. Instead, they will travel with their
small 8th grade Pack, visiting several classes together throughout the day. They’ll eat
lunch with our Student Ambassadors, participate in a service project, learn cheers, and
hear about clubs and extracurriculars from students. Full-day and some half-day options
are available; Shadow Days begin in October. Registration is required at
www.mercymcauley.org/Shadow. To maintain safe social distancing, capacity will be
limited for each Shadow Day. Additional dates will be added if needed. Any parents inter-
