PastDespite opening a new branch
in Marshall this year, Sabretechhas been a business rooted inHillsdale for about eight years.Sabretech, 154 Lewis St.,
opened in 2003 and looks to be aone-stop shop for Hillsdale'scomputing needs. But the decision to open in
Hillsdale was for more reasonsthan just business, said co-ownerBrad Cochran. "It's where we're all from," he
said.
PresentThe store currently sells every-
thing from parts to systems,Cochran said, and also can helppeople set up networking andoff-site backups. But Cochran said the business
offers more than just parts andrepairs."(People come for) the quality
service and quick responsetimes," he said.
Sabretech's two newest initia-tives are their off-site backupsand their managed services. Thebackups allow businesses andresidential customers to havetheir entire system loaded on toone of Sabretech's servers eachnight, in case of emergency.The managed service is a way
for Sabretech to oversee a com-pany's servers at their request."We become the on-site IT de-
partment for a business or com-pany," said co-owner Sam Sal-lows. "We maintain their sys-tem."Sallows said they're trying to
emphasize the managed servicesand off-site backups to a few
more clients.
FutureAfter opening the Marshall
branch in February, Cochran saidthe focus isn't on expandingmore. "Right now, we're just trying to
get these two running," he said.
