Cross indicates the person is deceased.
No cross the person is alive.
Reflection Does the Lord Jesus seem distant when trials or adversity come your way? It was at Jesus' initiative that the disciples sailed across the lake, only to find themselves in a life-threatening storm. Although they were experienced fishermen,
they feared for their lives. While Jesus was not with them in the boat, he, nonetheless watched for them in prayer. When he perceived their trouble he came to them on the sea and startled them with his sudden appearance.
Do you look for the Lord's presence when you encounter difficulty or challenges?
Lord Jesus, help me to trust you always and to never doubt your presence and your power to help me. In my moments of doubt and weakness, may I cling to you as Peter did. Strengthen my faith that I may walk straight in the path you set
before me, neither veering to the left nor to the right.

Knight’s Hall Renovations—It once was a library, a kindergarten, a meeting place for our youth groups and currently it is the council home for Father Downey Council 4934 Knights of Columbus. Thirty five years of wear and tear are being replaced with tiled floors, textured walls and new paint. Once completed, in addition to Knights meetings, the hall will be available for functions such as a meeting place for various parish ministries, celebrations and receptions. A new beginning for an old friend.

Sacred Heart School—Where are you this summer?
Incoming third grader Nicolas L. takes us to the beautiful and breathtaking Dripstone Cave in Austria.
Series’ first European ‘tour’ is made possible by Nicolas and his family! Austria is a
landlocked country in Central Europe and shares the borders with eight countries -
Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy,
Liechtenstein, Switzerland. It is a mostly mountainous country
with Alps covering the western and the southern parts. Austria
can be compared in size with the state of South Carolina.
Austrian traditional culture and customs are influenced by the
Catholic religion which is followed by the majority of its people.
Nicolas visited the Dripstone Cave which is one of the most
fascinating wonders of Austria! The unique cave boasts of 800
meters long underground adventure park with living drip-
stones that are a rarity in Europe.
Some fun facts: Austria’s capital is Vienna.
Longest River is Danube. If you have eaten a Vienna Schnitzel (breaded veal meat) and
a Strudel ( thin filo pastry roll) then you have eaten Austrian food!
Enjoy the rest of summer with your family and friends! See you soon! Stay safe.

Prayers for Hurricane Season
O God, Master of this passing world, hear the humble voices of your
children.
The Sea of Galilee obeyed your order and returned to its former quietude. You are still the Master of Land and Sea. We live in the shadow of a danger over which we have no control. The Sea, like a lethargy, overstep its conventional
boundaries, invade our Land and spread chaos and disaster.
During this hurricane season we turn to You, O loving Father. Spare us from past tragedies whose memories are
still so vivid and whose wounds seem to refuse to heal with the passing of time. A Virgin, Star of the Sea, Our Beloved Mother, we ask you to plead with your Son in this area and animated with a true spirit of gratitude, we will walk in the
footsteps of your Divine Son to reach the heavenly Jerusalem where a storm-less eternity await us. Amen

Spotlight on St. Vincent de Paul Volunteer
Richard Dufresne
Comes from Brockton, MA, which he says is famous not only as his birthplace,
but for being the home of Rocky Marciano. He & wife Gloria moved to Florida
in 2006. They are the parents of two children-- Megan and Kevin. Howard Johnson,
Marriott and Exeter Foods have all employed him for
food preparation and a variety of services. His favorite job involved
biological and chemical lab testing of products for public consumption.
He also worked for Publix on the Beachside for eight
years before retiring. What drew him to St. Vincent de Paul is that it delivers food to those in need. Richard delivers groceries to our neighbors as part of the Home
Visitation Team. He loves the selfless attitude of his fellow Vincentians and feels a part of a faith-filled
family. Richard's hobbies include fishing and riding his tricycle. And, oh yes, without fact-checking with
Gloria, he says he rocks at house-cleaning!
Prayer in Time of Sickness-Coronovirus O Jesus, You suffered and died for us; Teach me to understand my suffering as You do. May I gladly accept Your holy will and become more like You in trial. If it be Your will, restore me to health so that I
may work for Your honor and glory and the salvation of all men.Amen.
