Warm greetings from Father Sebastian!

I hope this finds you well by the grace of God. I am very fine. I want

to thank my church families for all the prayers, texts, emails, calls

and cards I have received during my time in quarantine. Your

thoughtfulness has lifted my spirits and given me much

encouragement, love and support.

As many of you are aware, I was informed by the Mercer County Health Department

that I was exposed to someone who tested positive for the coronavirus. I tested

twice and feel very blessed that I received two negative results for Covid-19.

I am happy to tell you my cautionary 14 day quarantine will end very soon. In the meantime, I

am busying myself with reading, cooking, watching television and dedicating myself to prayer for

you and your families.

Let us continue to pray for those who are ill, quarantined, or have sick family members. Let us lift

up in prayer those who have lost their livelihood, who are isolated, anxious or on the frontlines of

the battle against the coronavirus. Let us pray for a cure.

We will come together again, soon. In-person mass will resume on the weekend of July 25/26.

Please join me on weekdays at 6pm or on Sunday at 10am for live-streamed Mass on Facebook.

I miss you all and look forward to seeing you very soon!

May Almighty God bless and protect you all,

Fr. Sebastian

Please consider….

Since we are in the summer vacation months and many are traveling out of

the area or out of state, please take the time to check the status of Covid-19

cases where you are visiting and consider self-quarantining for 14 days,

(recommended guidelines), or getting a Covid-19 test before returning to

church. As we have always requested and is now mandated by the Governor

of West Virginia please continue to wear a facial mask, wash your hands

often, and practice social distancing. It is important to do all we can to stop

the spread of this virus. For more information you can check out this link:

sale.

o The Food Pantry is continuing to be opened and operating on Wednesdays from 9:00am – 3:00pm to serve our needy neighbors. Extra precautions are being taken to ensure the health and safety of the clients and volunteers.

o Please remember to support the Food Pantry financially by using the designated Food Pantry envelope included in your weekly giving envelopes, or by mailing a donation to the Church at PO Box 608, Bluefield, WV 24701. Mark your donation “for the Food Pantry”.
