    Place the saddle on the

e where you put the saddle

    n you ride.

    Mark with Chalk/Tape the

    pommel (front) and cantle (back)

    of the saddle.

    Remove the saddle and

    place the Gauge evenly spaced

    between the two marks.

    Adjust the Center Wings

down so the bottom edges have

    maximum contact.

    Check that the LEVELS on

hubs are LEVEL Adjust the front and back

wings down so the bottom edges

    have maximum contact.

    Double check that all the

    wings have maximum contact

    as illustrated above.

    CAUTION: DONOT FORCE THE

SPINE OF THE GAUGE TO THE

    CONTOUR OF THE HORSES SPINE.

The saddle does not touch the

horses spine, so we do not measure

the spine. We only measure the

    saddle contact area.

    PROPERLY ADJUSTED

    LL WINGS SHOULDTOUCH

    WITH MAXIMUM CONTACT

    WRITE DOWN MEASUREMENTS.

GENTLY WITHOUT MOVING THEGAUGE - PLACE THE GAUGE IN THE SADDLE.

    (For greater accuracy note below.)

    FOR GREATER ACCURACY

Be Sure to place the Gauge evenly between the

Pommel (front) and Cantle (back) of the saddle .

NOTE: The reason we marked the front and back of

the saddle on the horse is to position the Gauge on

the animal is so that these two measurements

    correspond.

THE GOAL is to have all

the wings touch the saddle panels

evenly. If so ,THE SADDLE FITS.

    IF ANY OF THE C

    THREE WINGS SHOW ANY

    THIS IS BAD.

    BECAUSE THE SADDLE WILL BR

AND CAN CAUSE INJURY OVER TIME

Adjust the arc measurements on the gauge by the

amount shown on the graph, by following the line

for the corresponding horse weight down to the

left to above the rider weight and then follow that

line over to the degree of adjustment. Then adjust

the wither and loin arcs by the degree of

    adjustment noted on graph.

If the front or back wings

are slightly raised that is O.K. It

means the saddle rocks a little

bit and the back will settle in.
