John 4:1 Now He (Jesus) had to go through Samaria. So He came to a town in Samaria called Sychar,
Why did Jesus have to go through Samaria?Hosea 1:10 (about 750 B.C.) “Yet the Israelites
will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted. In the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’ ‘The people of Judah and the people of Israel will be reunited…” (Northern capital was in Samaria)
It is in Samaria, at Jacobs well, where this prophecy was told and it is here that it is fulfilled in Jesus, at The Well at Sychar.
