The world’s leading trade fair for lighting and building services technology, Light + Building 2016, was organized in Frankfurt in March. The whole Safera company visited the fair to see the launch of the Airis stove guard by Safera’s main distributor in Central Europe, Hager Group. Smart home and building automation, KNX-system and wireless network were the big trends at the Light + Building 2016 fair. The importance of smart safety and security solutions in both domestic and non-residental buidings has grown steadily over the past few years which was easy to see also at the exhibition stands of all of the major players and smaller upcoming companies.

Safera’s partner Hager Group is one of the leading supplier of solutions for electrical installations in residential buildings. Hager had the largest stand at the Light + Building fair this year with two floors and own restaurant. Hager launched its new stove guard during the fair and impressed the visitors with the innovative but the same time very practical solution: in Germany 39 % of domestic fires are originated in kitchen, so the market has been looking for an efficient solution for one of the main issues in fire safety at home for some time. Hager’s new stove guard is powered by Safera technology and it will automatically turn of the power from the cooker if needed to prevent cooking fires.
At the KNX IoT City stand KNX showcased their vision of the opportunities provided by Internet of Things.
