Glossary of Terms
• Faculty Center – An existing Self Service page for instructors where they see their Teaching Schedule.
• Safety Compliant – When a student and/or class meets all the due diligent safety requirement(s).
• Safety Non-Compliant – When a student and/or class does not meet all the due diligent safety requirement(s).
• Exception – When a student is exempted or is not required to satisfy the safety compliance (for a Safety Compliant class) due to some valid/genuine reason.

Pre-requisites
• Safety Compliance feature is setup driven and must be turned on at Course setup level.o Means, this feature will be available only if the respective course
has been marked as “required” for Safety Compliance.o This Safety Compliance setup is available under the
Components tab of the Course Catalog setup.

Data Entry Steps
1. Faculty Center (Navigate to Faculty Center and choose the class for which you want to document Safety Compliance information; and click on the lock/unlock icon)
2. Safety Compliance Info (On the Safety Compliance page, document whether the respective student is Compliant or not)
3. Safety Compliance Comments (Document any additional Comments w.r.t. student’s safety compliance)
4. Save (Save the Safety Compliance page)
Faculty Center - Landing Page1. Navigate to Faculty Center
(Main Menu > Self Service > Faculty Center) Two new legends available to explain what the lock/unlock icon stands for.
Faculty Center - Landing PageColumn with Lock/Unlock icons clearly identifies the current status on class’s Safety Compliance status.
A new column is now available to open up Safety Compliance data entry page
Faculty Center - Landing PageSafety Compliance column - No lock/unlock icon against a specific class
No icon means this class/course doesn’t require any Safety Compliance measures.
Faculty Center - Landing PageSafety Compliance column - Lock icon against a class
The dull lock icon shows that this class required the safety compliance and the due diligence requirements were met.
Click on it to update/review Safety Compliance for the respective class.

The bright unlock icon highlights that an action needs to be taken as the respective
class is Not Safety Compliant yet.Click on it to complete/document Safety
Compliance for the respective class.
Data Entry Steps
1. Faculty Center (Navigate to Faculty Center and choose the class for which you want to document Safety Compliance information; and click on the lock/unlock icon.)
2. Safety Compliance Info (On the Safety Compliance page, document whether the respective student is Compliant or not.)
3. Safety Compliance Comments (Document any Additional Comments w.r.t. student’s safety compliance.)
4. Save (Save the Safety Compliance page.)
Faculty Center – Safety Compliance2. Lock/unlock icon on Faculty Center would redirect the faculty to this Safety Compliance page (similar to Class Roster).

Faculty Center – Safety ComplianceThe dropdown on top allows faculty to Default all student’s compliance status to a particular/chosen value.

Faculty Center – Safety ComplianceDocument Safety Compliance for each student.
Allows faculty to document safety compliance for each
individual student, separately
A class will be called ‘Safety Compliant’ (with
‘Lock’ icon on Faculty Center) only when all the
students are either marked as Compliant
and/or as an Exception
Faculty Center – Safety ComplianceProvide additional Comments for the respective students, if needed..
Allows faculty to provide additional comments, if any.
Comments becomes mandatory when
Compliant status is marked as an Exception.

1. Faculty Center (Navigate to Faculty Center and choose the class for which you want to document Safety Compliance information; and click on the lock/unlock icon.)
2. Safety Compliance Info (On the Safety Compliance page, document whether the respective student is Compliant or not.)
3. Safety Compliance Comments (Document any Additional Comments w.r.t. student’s safety compliance.)
4. Save (Save the Safety Compliance page.)
Safety Compliance – Additional Comments
This additional Comments page opens up when faculty clicks on the notepad icon on the Safety Compliance page.
Faculty can provide any additional comments here and press OK to go back to Safety
Compliance page.

Different notepad icons to easily distinguish the rows that does or doesn’t have any Comments.
Once the comments are provided, the blank notepad icon would changed to this.

1. Faculty Center (Navigate to Faculty Center and choose the class for which you want to document Safety Compliance information; and click on the lock/unlock icon.)
2. Safety Compliance Info (On the Safety Compliance page, document whether the respective student is Compliant or not.)
3. Safety Compliance Comments (Document any Additional Comments w.r.t. student’s safety compliance.)
4. Save (Save the Safety Compliance page.)
Safety Compliance - SaveSave the page when done. ‘Saved’ text on top upper right corner would flash as soon as the page is saved.
Document Safety Compliance data and Save the page.
