• Duringpregnancy,soakinginhotwatermaycausedamagetotheunbornfoetus.Limituseto10minuteseachtime.

• Theuseofalcohol,drugsormedicationbeforeorduringuseofyourCleverSpa®usemayleadtounconsciousnesswiththepossibilityofdrowning.

• Peoplewhohaveahistoryofheartdisease,loworhighbloodpressure,circulatorysystemproblems,ordiabetesshouldconsultadoctorbeforeusingCleverSpa®.

• PeopleusingmedicationshouldconsulttheirdoctorbeforeusingtheCleverSpa®,assomemedicationsmaycausedrowsiness,whilstothermedicationmayaffectheartrate,bloodpressure,andcirculationduringuse.

• ThewaterinaCleverSpa®shouldneverexceed40°C(104°F).Watertemperaturebetween37°C(98°F)and40°C(104°F),areconsideredsafeforahealthyadult.Lowerwatertemperaturesarerecommendedforyoungerchildrenandwhenuseexceeds10continuousminutes.Sincehighwatertemperatureshavethepotentialforcausingfoetaldamageduringtheearlymonthsofpregnancy,pregnantorpossiblypregnantwomenshouldlimitthemaximumCleverSpa®watertemperatureto38°C(100°F).

• Toreducetheriskofinjury,neverhavethewatertemperaturehigherthan40°C (104°F).

• Theuseofalcohol,drugs,ormedicationcangreatlyincreasetheriskoffatalhypothermia.Hypothermiaoccurswhentheinternaltemperatureofthebodyreachesalevelseveraldegreesabovethenormalbodytemperatureof37°C(98.6°F).Thesymptomsofhypothermiaincludeanincreaseintheinternaltemperatureofthebody,dizziness,lethargy,drowsinessandfainting.Theeffectsofhypothermiaincludefailuretoperceiveheat,afailuretorecognisetheneedtoexittheCleverSpa®,anunawarenessofimpendinghazards,foetaldamageinpregnantwomen,aphysicalinabilitytoexittheCleverSpa®andunconsciousnessresultinginthedangerofdrowning.

• ImmediatelyleavetheCleverSpa®ifyoufeeluncomfortableorsleepy.

• DonotturntheCleverSpa®onwhenitisemptyasthiscouldcauseirreparabledamagetothepumpsystemwhichwouldnullifyanywarrantyperiod.

• TheCleverSpa®shouldnotbesetuporleftoutsideintemperatureslowerthan6°C(43°F)asthiscouldcauseirreparabledamagewhichcouldnullifyanywarrantyperiod.

• Neveraddwatertochemicals.Alwaysaddchemicalstowatertoavoidstrongfumesorviolentreactionsthatmayresultinahazardouschemicalspray.

• Inordertoavoidahazardduetoinadvertentresettingofthethermalcut-out,thisappliancemustnotbesuppliedthroughanexternalswitchingdevice,suchasatimer,orconnectedtoacircuitthatisregularlyswitchedonandoffbytheutility.

• WARNING:Anadequatedrainagesystemhastobeprovidedtodealwithoverflowofwater.

• IMPORTANT:BecauseofthecombinedweightoftheCleverSpa®,waterandusers,itisextremelyimportantthatthebasewheretheCleverSpa®isinstalledissmooth,flat,levelandcapableofuniformlysupportingthisweightfortheentiretimetheCleverSpa®isinstalled(approximately850kgfora4PersonCleverSpa®and1,050kgfora6PersonCleverSpa®).

IftheCleverSpa®isplacedonasurface,whichdoesnotmeettheserequirements,anydamagecausedbyimpropersupportwillvoidthewarranty.ItisthetotalresponsibilityoftheCleverSpa®ownertoassuretheintegrityofthesiteatalltimes.

Indoors Installation

Be aware of special requirements if you install your CleverSpa® indoors:

1. ThefloormustbeabletowithstandthecapacityoftheCleverSpa®.

2.Thefloorshouldbeanon-slip,levelsurface.

3.ProperdrainageisessentialforindoorCleverSpa®installation.WhenbuildinganewroomfortheCleverSpa®itisrecommendedthatafloordrainthatiscapableofacceptingthetotalwatertobeoutletisinstalled.

4.HumidityisanaturalsideeffectofyourCleverSpa®installation.Determinetheeffectsofairbornemoistureonexposedwood,paperetc.intheproposedlocation.Tominimisetheseeffectsitisbesttoprovideplentyofventilationintheselectedarea.

Outdoors Installation

1. NomatterwhereyouinstallyourCleverSpa®,itisimportantyouhaveasolidsupportfoundation.

IfyouareinstallingtheCleverSpa®outdoors,ensuretherearenosharpobjectsthatcoulddamageitandthatthelocationislevelsotheCleverSpa®sitsproperly.

2.Duringfilling,emptyingorwheninuse,watermayspilloutofyourCleverSpa®.Youshouldinstallitneartoadrainagepointthatisabletoacceptthetotalvolumeofwater.

3.DonotleavetheCleverSpa’ssurfaceexposedtodirectsunlightforlongperiodsoftime.

PLEASE NOTE: Do not install the CleverSpa® on carpet or other material that can be damaged by water.

WARNING!Do not run the bubble system when the top cover is in place. Air could accumulate inside the CleverSpa® and cause damage.

The top cover is not a safety cover, and is not a substitute for adult supervision; children must be supervised around the CleverSpa® at all times.

PLEASE NOTE!It is recommended that you shower before using your CleverSpa®, as cosmetic products, lotions and other residues on the skin can quickly degrade water quality.

Operating your CleverSpa®

INFLATE/BUBBLE

TEMPERATURE

FILTER

Temperature

Tosetthetemperature,pressthe‘Temperature’buttonandthenumbersonthedisplayscreenwillstarttoflash.Youcanincreaseanddecreasethetemperaturebypressingthe‘TempUp’or‘TempDown’buttonsasseenbelow.

Whenyouhavechosenyourdesiredtemperature,pressthe‘Temperature’buttonagaintoconfirm.Defaulttemperatureis40°C,andcanbesetintherangeof20°C to 42°C.

Filtration System

Tousethefiltrationsystem,pressthe‘Filter’button,aredlightwillappearandthepumpwillstarttowork.Pressthe‘Filter’buttonagainoncetostopthepump,theredlightwillgoout.

Whenthefiltrationsystemhasworkedforapprox168hours,theletters‘FC’willappearonthedisplayscreen,accompaniedbyawarningtone.Theredlightwillstillbelitonthe‘Filter’button,butthepumpwillnotbeoperational.Theheatingsystemwillalsonotworkandtheredlightwillalsobeoutonthe‘Heater’button.

Tomakesurethefiltrationsystemisactuallyoff,youneedtopressthe‘Filter’buttonagain.Theletters‘FC’onthedisplayscreenwilldisappearaswellasthewarningtone.Theactualwatertemperaturewillbedisplayed,andallfunctionswillreturntotheirnormalworkingstatus.‘FC’andthewarningtoneareareminderthattheusershouldreplacethefilter.

Please note,toextendthelifeofyourfiltercartridge,itcanberemovedfromyourspawhennotinuse.Itisrecommendedthatthefiltershouldbehosedcleanbeforeeachuse.

Inflate/Bubble

Pressthe‘Inflate/Bubble’buttonandthebubblejetswillstartworking-aredlightwillalsoappear.Pressagainandthebubblejetswillstopworkingandtheredlightwillgoout.

Thebubblejetswillstopautomaticallyafterworkingfor20minutes.Toreset,pleasewaitfor10minutesandthenpressthe“bubble”buttonagain.Thebubblesstopafter20minutestoavoidover-heatingoftheinternalpumpandisthereasasafetymeasure.

Duringanytimeperiodwherethebubblingfunctionhasbeenstarted,bubblingcanbestoppedorstarted.

Heater

Tostarttheheatingsystem,pressthe‘Heater’button,aredlightwillappear.Pressthe‘Heater’buttonagainonceandtheheatingsystemwillstopandtheredlightwillgoout.

Whenyouturntheheatingsystemon,atthesametimethefiltersystemwillswitchontocirculatewaterautomatically.Whenthepre-settemperaturehasbeenreached,theheatingsystemwillstopworking,buttheheatingindicatorlightwillnotturnoff.Thefilterpumpwillcontinuetooperate.

Whenthewatertemperaturefallsto2°Cbelowthepre-settemperature,theheatingsystemwillstartworkingautomatically.

HEATER

WARNING - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!Do not operate the pump and heating system whilst the CleverSpa® is empty, as this may damage the system and void your warranty.

ATTENTION! Makesurethebottomspraypipeisflatbeforeyouusethebubblefunction.

‘FILTER CHANGE’

Water level

Watershouldbefilledbetweenthe‘Min’and‘Max’filllinesasindicatedontheinnerwallofyourCleverSpa®.Iflowerthanthisline,thewatertemperaturemaybeaffectedandifhigherthanthe‘Max’filllinethewatermayspilloverthesideswheninuse.

Maintenance of water

ItisrecommendedthatthewaterintheCleverSpa®shouldbefilteredatfixedandregulartimes.Itisnotsuggestedtofilterthewateratalltimes.

ThewaterinyourCleverSpa®shouldbetreatedwithchemicalagentsperiodically,however,chemicalgentswithcalciummustnotbeusedastheywillbeverylikelytoformscalingonthewallsofthewatertankandinnerheatingpipes.Scalingwilldirectlydamagetheinnerelectricalcomponentsinsidethecontrolcabinetandfurtheraffecttheservicelifeofcontrolcabinet.

Ifthefiltrationsystemhasworkedfor168hoursintotal,thesystemwillemitawarningtonetoremindtheusertoreplacethefilterelement.Werecommendthatthefiltercartridgeshouldbereplacedatleastonceamonthdependingonuse.

Changethewatereveryfewdaysoruseappropriatepoolchemicalsasdirectedbythechemicalsupplier.AllCleverSpa’srequiretheuseofchemicals.CleverSpa®damageresultingfrommisuseofchemicalsandmismanagementofCleverSpa®waterisnotcoveredbythewarranty.

WatersanitationistheresponsibilityoftheCleverSpa®ownerandisachievedthroughtheregularandperiodicdaily(ifnecessary)additionofanapprovedsanitizer.ThesanitizerwillchemicallycontrolbacteriaandvirusespresentinthewaterorintroducedduringuseoftheCleverSpa®.

Low pH

WerecommendyoumaintainyourwaterpHbetween7.2 and 7.8,totalalkalinitybetween80and120ppmandfreechlorinebetween3to5ppm.

Low pHwilldamagetotheCleverSpa®andpump.Damageresultingfromchemicalimbalanceisnotcoveredbyinyourwarranty.

PurchaseatestkittotestyourwaterchemistrybeforeeachuseoftheCleverSpa®,nolessthanonceperweek.

Cleaning your CleverSpa®

DetergentresiduesanddissolvedsolidsfrombathingsuitsandchemicalswillgraduallyaccumulateintheCleverSpa’swater.TocleanyourCleverSpa®,usesoapandwaterthenrinsethoroughly.

Please note:donotusehardbrushesorabrasivecleaners.

Repairing punctures in your CleverSpa®

IfyourCleverSpa®istornorpunctured,usetherepairpatchesprovided.Completelydrytheareatoberepaired,applyastrongadhesivetotherepairpatchandthencoverthedamagedarea.Smooththesurfacetoremoveanyairbubbles.Leavetodryfor12hoursbeforeusingtheCleverSpa®.

Cleaning the water filter cartridge1.Firstly,removetheCleverSpa®plugfromtheelectricalmains.

2.Unscrewthefiltercartridgebyturninganti-clockwise.

3.Removetheprotectivecover/sleeveandthenremovethefilter.

4.Thefiltercartridgecanberinsedoffwithagardenhoseandreused.However,ifthefiltercartridgeremainssoiledanddiscolouredthefiltercartridgeshouldbereplaced.Ifanyholesarepresentinthepaperfilterorthepaperinthecartridgeisnoticeablyworn,replacethefilterwithanewonebeforefurtheruse.

5.Replacetheprotectivecover/sleeveoverthefiltercartridgeandattachthefiltercartridgetothewaterinletbyturningitclockwiseuntiltight.

CLEVERSPA®

FILTER CARTRIDGE

How to empty your CleverSpa®

1. Firstly,removetheCleverSpa®plugfromtheelectricalmains.

2.MakesurethedrainageplugisinplaceontheflooroftheCleverSpa®.

3. OpenthewateroutletontheouterwalloftheCleverSpa®.Screwoneendoftheinflationhoseintoit.

4.PulltheplasticplugofffromtheoutletintheflooroftheCleverSpa®,thenthewaterwillflowout.

5.WhenthereisnowaterintheCleverSpa®,youmustputonthebubblefunctionfor30seconds.todrainthewaterintheairpipeline.

6. Whendrainageisfinished,removetheinflationhoseandreplacethedrainagecap.

How to deflate your CleverSpa®

1. Locatetheblacktwopartairvalveonthespa(seepoint7on‘settingupyourCleverSpa®’item‘G’.

2.Fullyunscrewandremovetherapiddeflationairvalveturninganti-clockwise.

3. Foldthespaawaycarefullytodirectandremoveasmuchairaspossiblethroughtheopenvalve.

4. ReplaceyourCleverSpa®inthestoragebagprovided,inacooldryplace.

Storing your CleverSpa®

MakesureallthewateriscompletelydrainedfromtheCleverSpa®andpumpsystem.ThisisvitalinextendingthelifeofyourCleverSpa®.Werecommendtheuseofawet/dryvacuumtoblowoutorsuckupwaterfromtheCleverSpa®pipesandpumplines.Removethefiltercartridge.ItisrecommendedyoustoreyourCleverSpa®initsoriginalpackageinawarmdryplace.

Please note:PlasticbecomesbrittleandsusceptibletobreakagewhenexposedtosubzerotemperaturesandthiscanseverelydamageyourCleverSpa®.LeavingyourCleverSpa®outsideanduncoveredduringthewintermonthswillvoidyourwarranty.
